Oh so they got rid of that rule for top tier naval?
I thought it still worked like ground rb where the max br in ground rb isnt 12 its 13 because you can bring planes 1.0 br higher than grounds max br.

The Su-22 and F-18 are going to be easy kills for the new spaa though lmao.
EFT isn’t necessarily an easy kill, but it also has a lot harder time fighting back.
It surely isn’t going to be lower than the 3E ?
Yeah I know with the new spaas itll change, however its gonna be a strange one. the Su22 can still come in low and fast enough to fire off two KH29Ts.
however at top tier its not ideal
I don’t think it will go above 10.3 in GRB. You have the F-4F at 10.3 GRB with two Mavericks and aim9 x4.
We’ll have to see at Air RB, it could be 10.7. I’m not sure in this case.
It only has the AIM-9E while being the same as the IIIE in most other respects, and the Magic 1 is significantly better than the 9E
Bombs are usually not CAS worthy in GRB. I tried to make the Tornado Assta useful, I really tried. But neither laser GBUs nor GNSS bombs are convincing. For a variety of reasons: The time of laser guided bomb ordnance is over. At least at BRs higher 12.0.
Try it. Naval is coded in a way that air assets can be max 0.3 BR higher than your highest BRed ships.
I also think Gajin might restrict the use of airpower somehow. I can’t really believe they allow WW2 BBs getting dunked on with cold war jets. Imagine an IL28 with that 3000kg mega bomb going to bomb Iowa at 1000kmh. Never.
They actually talked about it during the DevStream(ru one). You know how they are now capable of separating AB and GB battle ratings? Same thing would be implemented for NB.
Or an F-117 dropping laser guided bombs on WW2 BBs
A nightmare.
What battleships should be scared of has a number “288”
Huh ok kinda figured itd follow the same rules as ground. Ive got up to the graf spee but i dont think ive ever taken a single plane into naval. Kinda felt pointless with how good AA is.
Over the whole last year air lost its importance in air. Bombs are strangely nerfed and can’t really harm ships anymore. AA is that op that you can’t really use planes vs. ships. Its possibly still possible to use air at lower BRs, but late destroyers, cruisers and BBs (except WW1 ones) shot everything out of the sky.
I can’t remember when I last spawned a plane.
They actually already did. Gaijin nerfed the AAA (AI).
I dont remember where, but I read the details about this somewhere. Basically, the AI will now be easy to beat. Just dont go to head on toward the gunners on a static course. Going along the flanks and changing course every few meters will make this very easy.
Edit: I found the notes on what he was talking about
Ironically getting super close with bombs might be the best playstyle against some of these new spaa if you have a somewhat manouvrable airframe (wouldn’t advice it in a Tornado).
Either that or GNSS bombs from far out into the enemy spawn.
Why does CLOVIS have a LRF?
It likely uses a similar sight to the marder. Which also has a lrf. Real question is why doesnt it have apfsds. It has the cn105 g1 so it should be firing the ofl g1 round the sk105 has.
Because it has one IRL, I made the report for it
https://community.gaijin.net/issues/p/warthunder/i/MUrjQYAju6Tv
Damn, I’m going to buy it.
I didn’t want it because it was just a premium DF105. Good to know, thanks for the report dude.
With apfsds it will be at least 9.0
personally I would prefer it with apfsds.
