I know. It’s just, I guess Germany has been relatively less touched by time travelling stuff than other trees so far, because it doesn’t really need it (in fairness neither does the USSR, and yet).

I think apart from the JPz 4-5 and LeK, there isn’t a postwar German vehicle in the WW2 tree, which is good, especially because those two are easy for my mind to filter out in terms of modernity - one looks like a Jagdpanzer and the other looks like a Chaffee. I’d still happily send them up, but visually at least they don’t stick out too much.

But the M109 is gonna be a sore thumb in there tbh. I don’t know, maybe it’s just me!

SPAA much… and found that 4.3 Chinese one slaps Tigers and Panthers (side of course but try doing that with some 5.3s).

As you say just not used to it, and Rank I and II are so stacked with vehicles it is easy to forget the difficulties you can face in other nations.

One thing Germany require is a light vehicle between the puma and kek. Just copy paste GB SA line as no one will miss it! Edit: and China got their THIRD 5.0 light tank…

I would rather they stick with the WW2 stuff as much as possible. Which isn’t a historical matchmaking argument btw, even the WW2 BRs see plenty of time travel, and "bad’ vehicles like the PT-76 should be where they currently are because otherwise nobody would play them.

But the performance argument doesn’t apply to all time travelling vehicles. Is the M109 more survivable against WW2 tanks than it is against, say, early cold war stuff? Certainly not. This is arty, not meant for the front lines, survivability will never be its thing in this game.

Is it any less lethal? Kind of the opposite. 155mm HE could one shot my Jagdtiger, or I could tank it, it’s pretty much RNG, but land it in the same neighborhood as a Leopard I and boom, back to the pit it goes.

So why put it at 6.0? If you feel it’s the accessories that are lacking, give it a laser rangefinder, which the more modern versions have, and send it up where it belongs.

As for a German light vehicle, here too there are WW2 options yet to be implemented. The Pz II Luchs is the obvious one.

They seem to be trying to give “similar” options to all, FV Battle Barn for UK (and G6), Japan with theirs as the first odd Arti. Which is why they are all still viable, and possibly stronger, higher up, a bit like some of the 4.0-6.0 German TDs.

Of course Germany don’t lack TDs!

Just such an egregious fault to not have more options already in game for what I consider an important role in WT. And then one nation gets 3 at 5.0!

Oh yes, totally, don’t get me wrong, I understand this completely. Vehicles with zero armour and great guns are basically BR agnostic so long as the guns work. But when discussing cold war era or later artillery pieces, especially in major tech trees that already have plenty of other options, that’s not the whole story.

But if this is the direction the game decides to go in, sure, whatever. I’ll give my Jagdtiger or Maus a PzH2000 as a friend and think to myself, damn, the armaments ministry must have really delivered on the whole Wunderwaffen thing! 😁😁

It’s sort of a double whammy. The game is already imbalanced towards light tanks, so being denied them at critical BRs kind of feels like salt in the wound.

Fortunately, I got the PAK Puma in a crate (though it’s a tank destroyer, so not a light vehicle in the sense of BP tasks and getting the airstrike discount). I don’t fly yet (though I will), so for now I don’t miss the aircraft discount myself, but the rest of the team obviously does.

I have also resorted to using “alternate” options to function like light vehicles in situations where that’s required. For example, the VK is the fastest Panther in game, so I’m uptiering it and using it as a light vehicle at higher BRs, like say 5.7. Of course, the nonexistent turret rotation and reverse speed make it a dollar-store take on a light vehicle, but hey, the speed is alright and the gun works if you know how to use it.

First off rank 7 ground isnt even fleshed out yet so idk what youre on about. Like they literaly just a short while ago moved rank 6 vehicles to rank 7 to try and flesh rank 7 out a bit. What makes you think theyd remove a bunch of vehicles from rank 7 right after that.

Secondly yeah thats not likely, gaijin still believes the 2a6 to be one of the best mbts so adding an upgraded version of it wouldnt make sense. And why would they add the f4f ice when theyve already given germany top tier jets this year.

Also ARH has like 500 definitions attatched to it, and multiple to do with military. Try to use full definitions instead of acronyms for uncommon acronyms.

Rank 7 is fleshed out.
BR 11.7+ are rank 8 capable.
The only country without much BR 10.3 - 11.3 items is France.

Leopard 2A7+ & T-90M are coming for 12.0 more than likely. Especially since a more armored Leopard 2 is confirmed for this year by staff.
F-4F ICE is Germany’s only AMRAAM option, and is a faster less dogfight capable F-18 essentially.
IDK why you & Nero seemingly hate Germany so much.

Yeah, generally speaking it feels more and more like a fever dream.

But in the specific context of the joke I was making - since I play WW2 stuff only, and that’s the immersion I go for, I look at these three lineups…

You havent been paying much attention to this discussion or “germany deserves the kf41 as well”, it seems.

Ive learned as a german main to doubt gaijin doing anything good for us after the removal of ONLY german fake tanks and removal of ONLY the maus because balance and because they wanted to turn it into an event vehicle.

And because they added not one, not two, but THREE of our top tier jets as EVENT vehicles prior to us getting tech tree versions. Why didnt all other tornados come as event rewards first?

And because after many other nations got their ifvs we had to wait until after not one, not two, but three vehicles with the marder chassis were in game before we got the base marder with no good features.

Because we had to wait not one, not two, but 3 years for a new mbt, and the one we got is objectively worse than the 2a5 because of its increased useless weight.

Because weve waited over a year for the puma to be fixed and the only thing theyve done is fix the one bug that made it stronger. The invicible turret after ammo detonation.

Because weve waited over a year for manually guided spikes to be added to the puma or a puma with spikes, and theyve not only NOT done that but they have given italy not 1, but TWO vehicles with spikes.

Because when FRANCE kicked and screamed about the sk105 gaijin bended their knee and gave a version to france, but when germany kicked and screamed about the kf41 gaijin flat out said NO, with a maybe other versions at some point. Love them weasel words.

Because other nations tanks and planes get to use shells and weapons they never had equiped but the bagelpanzer still doesnt have apfsds which it can fire, the bofors 57mm rounds are interchangable between generations.

Why would i trust that gaijin would give germany anything at this point???

Only German? lol You’re definitely new.
There are countless fake/non-national vehicles removed.
Britain had Shot Kal Delet removed from acquisition.
USA had Magach removed from acqusition.
Etc.
Germany is not the only one.

2 of those event vehicles are objectively bad due to no countermeasures. No, 12 is not enough.
Tornado IDS is only good in air RB as a bomber, and that’s it.
Tornado ASSTA is not an event vehicle.

Germany waited less than a year for a new MBT, and Germany’s getting 2 this year.

Germany gets the best Mig-29 for next update in the air superiority role.
Leopard 2A7+ will be the most armored tank next to T-90M, and potentially M1A2 SEP2.

Manually guided Spikes aren’t coming to any ground vehicle for a while. No vehicle in WT has manually guided Spikes.

SK105 is not a German vehicle, stop claiming it is. KF-41 is not in German service, stop claiming it is. Real life Germany is calling you a liar.
The fact you claim real life Germany are liars when they prove you wrong is annoying.
Germany isn’t Gaijin.

Begleitpanzer with APFSDS would be 10.0+, and it’s far better as a 9.3 vehicle.

Gaijin gives Germany great equipment every update, and those facts will not change.
