First off, T-72M1 was introduced into Germany as a unique vehicle in March of this year.
Second, the following vehicles that were added to have tech trees catch up to Germany & Israel were added within the last year: M1A2 SEP Oct 26th 2022; Chally 2E March 2023; TKX March 2023; WZ1001 December 2022; Ariete AMV March 2023.
So yes, in both interpretations of “new MBT”, it was within a year.
Germany had a head start of everyone, and it took longer than it should’ve for other tech trees to catch up.
2A7+ is a more armored Leopard 2, and would make a perfect 12.0 MBT for Germany & Italy. It’s not anymore powerful than 12.0 for War Thunder.
SK105 is not on a Marder chassis, and is not a test vehicle; SK105 is a production vehicle used by Austria, and exported to Argentina; Neither of which are sub/tech trees in War Thunder; meaning the vehicle can go anywhere Gaijin wants.

Italy has other tanks left that can be added for rank 8, and while the 2a7+ is a step above current tanks, it is a lot multiple steps above a lot other Leopards that can be added
ah my bad the DF105 and the SK105 is just way to similar in looks for me and we could argue the about argentinia not being a sub tree as well, if anything only the sk105 got the wrong flag in the game

T-72M1 isn’t copy-paste, the Italian T-72M1 is a copy paste of the German T-72M1, however Germany’s T-72M1 is an entirely different model to previous T-72M/As.
Sweden is still firing a DM43 out of L/55 equivalent round, m/95. You could also call it 3BM60 equivalent, or OFL F1 equivalent.
In all situations, Strv 122s aren’t firing DM53… yet, and if/when they do they’ll be 12.0 instead of 11.7.
DM53 BTW cuts through Strv 122’s hull armor.
2A7+ is largely an armor change for the purposes of War Thunder. Better gunner thermals too.
And that’s it. I don’t think improved armor & thermals is enough to warrant above a 0.3 increase above Leopard 2A5/2A6.

These are the differences I noticed between 29G & 29 9.12’s cockpit so far.
If you spot any others, please inform. Cause I will be looking out for the differences when the cockpit is added to 29G in War Thunder.

problem is that is an overall very strong armor upgrade, the internal armor changes to a new generation, add on UFP armor + the side armor that the PSO has for heat protection and the immediate jump to generation 3 thermals of the Puma. This would be way to convenient for Gajin to immediatly give germany the possible strongest Leopard version ( there is discussion currently if the 2A7V is better because of the possibility to fire DM11, the KMW director stated that the Hungarian Leo Hu is not able to fire them and hungarian communitys is fighting against that statement. Additionaly because the Leo 2A7+ is just the general definition of all possbile Leo upgrades would that mean germany gets DM11 while Hungary doesnt?)

On a different note i hope to one day see the leo 1a4 and 1a6. The leo 2k and radpanzer have shown how good that turret style is. And the m48 super isnt that bad so a smaller version of it would be nice.
The marder M12: a marder with a two man turret with a 30mm instead of the 20mm.
I should also mention that its a slightly older version of the mauser mk30-2 already in game on the famous puma. Though likely only firing apds.
The ACV puma variants: theres one with a 105mm, one with a howitzer, and one with an autocannon.
The TAM VCTP: argentinian marder.
The luchs: like mix between a r3t20 and a btr80, would obviously be great to have.
The marder clovis fl20/105: another marder with a heat firing 105mm and a 20mm coax.
The TH400: there are 2 versions, one is a 105mm turret and the other is a 120mm. These would be amazing additions to 8.7+ lineups.
The export marder light tank project: seen during the same showcase event which advertised the mbt revolution, it has as ive been told the centauros turret.
The boxer ifv: puma on wheels lets gooo.
The wegman leo 2: an earlier leo 2k prototype with no 20mm.
Spz 11-2 kurz: weisel at a lower br with a worse hispano 20mm.
The faun kraka terrier: wheeled go cart with a 20mm.
And most importantly, the famous marder 2.
i recently found out WT has the wrong name for the Tiger.
its actually the Tiger KHT instead of the UHT. UHT designation was dropped in 2013 and was only used for the non attack dedicated variant
