You can have rank 7 jets be far lower then rank 6s.
Britian and italy should get it at the same time as Germany , considering britain put a huge amount of time into the RnD of it anyways.

It feels mega strange for the best jet in Britain and Italy to have been the Gripen for so long.

No Ranks determine research boosts.
Premiums ranks are more important than their BR. a Rank 6 aircraft will research Rank 7 aircraft faster but not a Rank 8 or 9

ranks are the brackets vehicles are generally put in then they are assigned BRs. BRs change though Rank very rarely does unless its decompressing top tier to allow a new premium vehicle to be added.
I can agree on that, they don’t usually up the ranks until they have a new shiney to sell(my guess is we are going to see a F-16 as premium)
I can totally see them adding something else in the meanwhile as a premium without upping the ranks tho.

Yeah I’m cool with Italy and Britain getting EFTs, as they should. To add on to the nonsense that needs to be stopped, stop adding new meta mechanics when some nations do no have a competitive platform to use it on. Some examples: F-4 ICE (this should be obvious) compared to any other nation with a fox-3 carrier, Glide bombs…so far Germany, Italy, and Japan do not have access to glide bombs (although not meta defining, I count them because Gaijin almost shoehorned the Grom-2 in the update), and GPS bombs. Up until recently Germany was one of three (iirc) nations that did not have a GPS bomb capable aircraft, even then the best you can do is carry 6 of them and they’re not even that good.

Look at brinstones being irl a formidable weapon system, in game its only sal, they could just implement its mode 2 and make it fnf.

Seen a few ice now but still barely any, or the tornado f3 late.

GR 4 does well but more because of the GPS bombs. and then Brimstone can be used when the SAMs are removed.
F.3 Late is still pain to play constant uptiers and issues with TWS and Aim120s being hilariously easy to defeat makes it weak
120s still being the best ARH missile or close to it.

I think it’s a lot more strange that we’re having to wait this long for the Typhoon, imo.
It should’ve come with the F-15C MSIP already, say, a Tranche 1 Block 2 which is a pure A2A jet, and then another variant (like Tranche 2 Block 10) together with the F-15E to also bring okay’ish CAS options to the table.
F-15E basically removed any existing pretext to gatekeep the EFT from being added.

Generally in NATO the fox-3s are either referred to as AMRAAM or BVRAAM so yes, the AIM-120A/B is the best AMRAAM in that sense

100 percent agreed especially as you say with thr additions of things like the more modern f15s (ir the J10)
The EF being held back for so long is jist silly
but watch as it comes out dominates and US mains cry so hard it gets nerfed into being near useless.
It is the best active radar homing missile in game rn imo
I’m prepared for the worst, and hopefully the DCS one releases soon so if gaijin royally fuck up my favourite aircraft OAT then I will jump boat and play that instead
