People knew about the Viggen, the problem is we had to wait until gaijin added a premium viggen for them to actually look at any of the bug reports for it. Maybe germany should get a premium phantom and gaijin will look at stuff thats been missing, maybe the F4F would get its 9L’s. Also the JA37Di is just worse in every regard than the KWS and the J8F is worse than both and sits at the same BR. It would be less of a problem if we got more decompression so that the KWS wouldn’t be at the same BR as other 3rd gen ARH carriers. KWS has 8 missiles, F18 radar. The best 3rd gen RWR, 4 Aim 120, and 4 Aim-9Li. Again compression is the bigger problem here.
Serious note its actually sad that gaijin only adresses issues like this when a premium is involved.
hope it doesnt just go to germany.
it has good helis. decent usuable cas with Fire and forget weapon systems. not the best . not the worst.
it has phenomnal ground vehicles with what the 2nd or 3rd best spaa in game. Germany is fine for ground RB and as i said it just needs a good multirole plane next in either the F18 or F16.
i hope they dont add the eurofighter rn as i know itll come missing most of its equipment.
the fact i can use a mig21 lazur and Hawker hunter as cas and do just fine shows it doesnt suffer as much as youd like to think.
Germany is still one of if not the best nations in game ground wise.
As Renzo said the top tier win rates for US and germany show the stark difference the tanks make.
No point having fantastic cas if you can never bring it out
Pantsir is the single best SPAA in game, teh flakrad is what 3rd? compared to nations like britian, isreal, japan, italy its no push over at all.
The VJTF id say is fine, the 2s38 is under BRd has no FnF missiles and far lower survivability.
The leopard 2a5 is better than every single challanger 2 in game. almost every merkava, its apperently better than the M1A2 which for some reason still sits at 11.7.
never mind the 2a6, PSO, and 2A7 they are all fantastic MBTs that contribute to a great lineup.
Hell even with a 2A5 and Leopard 2PL i do better than almost if not all my other nations.
so yeah germany lacks a good top tier cas and ARB option.
IT however is not in a bad state at all.
My point was:
people wanting AMRAAMS on the JA37Di, while it being an inferior platform. They are now reaping what they have sown.
The difference is, people WANTED them to be on the JA37Di, no German player wanted the ICE added. But now they have them they hate it, as OF COURSE a 3rd gen airframe with AMRAAMS vs a 4th gen airframe with AMRAAMS will get s**t on.
instead of getting that, they gave us the Su22m4, which is arguably worse, also in the TT, and also unused.
I’d like to ask a few questions:
- Are you a “German Main”
- Do you have the entire German tree?
- What other nations do you play, or would consider yourself a “Main” of?
The only reason I ask is that you seem to not understand anything about the German tree, let alone their top tier air.

Not true, i was against the JA37Di being added as a premium exclusive imo, i didn’t want the JA37 with ARH to begin with but i knew what it would be like. Same goes for the KWS, players did want it and they wither knew it would be bad or didn’t care. So saying they reap what they sow is dumb. Its a vehicle players shouldve expected and its more so a problem of how gaijin added them with these awful BR’s.
It will be Tranche 1, which, of course, will be “missing” equipment.
Maybe? 3rd? Id say 4th or 5th. No cannon and only 2 missiles ready is a major detriment. Also not being able to track multiple objects, ie GBU coming in and plane flying.

Yes it is under BR’d. There is no survivability between either vehicle. If i get hit on the MUSS, it blows my tracks, nothing survivalable about that.
n=1. The Swedish player community as a whole wanted it, one of the reasons it was added.
If you file reports over and over saying the plane is “missing” weapons of course they’re going to add it. But when they do add it, you can’t complain now that it’s worthless, because you(they) asked for it. I agree with the BRs as well, they definitely need a change.
I cannot say I saw a single post regarding people wanting this to be added. Link to the Devblog for it, look at the comments. They added this because “there was nothing else to add” which has been the most common excuse for adding something that didn’t need to be added.
Is that not being overly aggressive and why german players get into so many fights with other nations by just ignoring others? As i stated not everyone wanted it it would take no effort to even check rather than be blinded by your own opinion. Same goes for the KWS some players wanted it and other didn’t. Devblogs are fair and yes when people finally saw what it had they were disappointed. Same could be said about a lot of vehicles.
Also if you only go buy the forum voice then you arent seeing the main focus or opinion of players. As much as i meme on the subreddit players some of them wanted it and others didnt that goes for both the Di and the KWS.

I am not ignoring it. Swedish players filed report after report saying the JA37Di was “missing” amraams. Over and over. Until they finally added it.
Again, i have not ever seen someone asking for this. Maybe years ago when it was initially suggested, but that was at the time where it could’ve been played. It was DOA and everyone, even non German players knew.
uht is highly situational onyl useable on open clear maps, no laser atgm alternative for more hidden maps
no chin cannon or real ability for missle runs etc
the only useable top tier cas with fnf is the f4f ice, which gets 2 mavericks without tgp, that is not good
its one of the worst cas carriers the su22m4 is not top tier matieral and will easily be taken out

for usa its highly skill based. skilled usa players get their aircraft and those can decimate whole teams

Ill agree. The forum is not indicative of the entire playerbase.

The forum is where changes to the game happen. This is where information is passed to devs and where the “true” players of the game come to discuss it. This is the main voice of the playerbase, imo.

so yes i think after nearly 3000 hours im fairly certain i can say what germany is lacking or not.
No swedish players filed reports for the D model. Which it was in fact missing ARH, I and others were against the D getting ARH or an ARH model being added as much as i am not friends bor do i care for @AlvisWisla he can probably tell you the same, two sides were in the argument of the ARH on a viggen. I didn’t care for it but here it is, now the problem that i know anyone would have is gaijin only adding a prem version. I doubt players would be fine if the KWS was added only as a premium and no TT version was available. Even if it was bad you missing out on a vehicle like that will cause fights.
