So its day 2 of the new update, how many of you have seen anyone play top tier Germany? At best I’ve seen 2 people play the ICE. For those 2, the ICE was their only top tier jet for any nation…
I know its early to call but I don’t think there’s much else that can be done to save the ICE.
Decompression could be a solution. If it is 1.3 BR below top tier, it would become a good aircraft, but that requires decompression up to 14.3. The same thing can be said about both Mig-29 variants too.
Tbh the ICE should’ve been the test bed for Fox-3’s and then add a better tech tree Fox-3 carrier. This would’ve been the better option instead, but yeah IF the ICE was and remained at a BR where it could not face OP jets like the F-15E then it could be good.
The marders atgms are now tied to the commander. Good job devs that was totally the vehicle that needed to be nerfed. Same complaint with the bagelpanzer. Like my god you update its internal model based on detailed reports of the tank yet it STILL doesnt get apfsds that even your own sources state it had.
The marder and bagel were SOOO good they just had to be prioritized in these changes. Totally couldnt have changed the xm800t, AGS, m1128, 2s25m, khrizantema, the fox, the 9040s, the french autoloaders so they can get moved down, so many more important vehicles.

Are you surprised? At this rate, I wouldn’t recommend Germany to a new player at all. Everything above late WW2 era is not worth playing/grinding.
The rank VI and VII jets are good, as well as ground all throughout the tree.

Sure? But theres not much that is unique or that you can find in another better tree.
Same as air, every tree seems to be getting Leopards so ground is meh. Not as bad air but still meh.
Bmp 2s already got them hence why i left them out. And the bmp2s and 3s arent exactly survivable enough to warrant the change. The foxs armor is not terrible especially for a rat.
They couldve finally after like 4 years modelled the t72s commander cupola.
They could have fixed the driver replacement bug WHICH STILL EXISTS.
They couldve upheld THEIR OWN STANDARD and deleted the r2y2s as even without them japan still has more rank 5 jets thsn israel, so its clearly not a grind concern.
Theres so much the devs couldve and shouldve prioritized instead of nerfing the poor marders and bagel.

So the BMP 1 cant fire the gun and ATGM at the same time now?
When i mentioned the fox it was in relation to the internals. So when you mentioned the bmps i thought it was in relation to internals.
And by the marders atgm being tied to the commander i mean if the commander dies your screwed for potentially the rest of the battle.
I have no idea what vehicles should function like that aside from the warrior.

it actually is. germany is what the 2nd best nation in game for ground and while it doesnt have a top tier CAP capable plane/ arb plane it still has jets with FnF AGMs that are usuable in top tier. (i use the hunter as ive not got to the su22s yet) and it works just fine.
germany doesnt need much done to it as of rn bar a top tier such as the F18 or an F16.
look at isreal, or japan, theyre literally bare bones trees. and their solution for france was to fill it with copy and paste.

Aircraft are just as much a part of grb then tanks and plays a huge role into viability.
Germany has a solid ground yes.
But the general weakness for air hinders it quite a bit.
At top tier those options are not realy useable lack tgp on those aircraft weakens them immensly not mentioning pantsir

But overall if looked at top tier italy and sweden propably might both be better in grb because of their great aircraft access.
Only thing italy truely lacks as of right now is a real top tier spaa

When you compare US to German winrates at top tier you’ll see the differences better tanks make compared to better planes.
It’s only when you have outstandingly long range weaponry like the Kh38 where you see a massive difference.
I have seen less than 10 other players in the ICE since it released. The thing is still absolute dog. Lack of HMS is a massive hinderance. It flies like a damn building. Everyone and their mother crying that it goes down .3* BR is the funniest thing I read.
At least WT players should have learned a valuable lesson here: Do NOT add a superior weapon to a non-superior plane. This is what happens when you give AMRAAMS to a boat, and now people see the JA37Di will experience the same fate as the ICE.
The Eurofighter got leaked for the next update, so my guess is that Germany’s air woes will be fixed soon.
