I think the time when I really started obsessing about protection analysis was the first time I encountered an IS-3 and got my ass handed to me. The absolute shock I felt when I went with the standard LFP shot that works on most Soviet WW2 tanks, and realised that nuh-uh-uh… :D
IS4-M compounded that feeling, because while the IS-3’s shape is so extremely angled that even as a rookie it gives you a little pause, the IS4-M is visually quite deceptive, you see the stepped and somewhat large LFP, the bulging turret cheeks, if you have no clue what it is it looks like a more “classic” WW2 Soviet design.
And now The tiger and Panther get uptiered from 5.7 to 6 to make it even less fun to play

Yeah, having vehicles under-tiered is much more fun. Glad the training wheels have been removed again, at last!!

The Tiger E should’ve stayed at 5.7, but the Panthers 100% deserved to go up, those were OP, and ruined an entire BR range for me.
Not really, Churchill VII should never meet a Tiger so all need to be at least 6.0?
and Churchill 7 shouldn’t meet m4s at 3.7 and needs to be at least 5.0.
You can find many tanks with this problem
BTW if you angle right in the churchill you can be invincible for the tiger guns.

Erm… one shottable from 3.3 medium germany from front, so no. Same with M4.

Well the 2A6 isn’t that different from the 2A5 either…i think they are literally the same aside from 2A6 longer Canon but most modern MBTs and their variants aren’t all to different, mainly export ones or some used by other Countries which show more variety.
Hungary will probably then also get the Lynx 120 and KF51 Panther…because Germany so far has no plan to use or build the Panther whereas Hungary already said they want it.
When Germany doesn’t get access to its export Vehicles the Top Tier is going to look a bit dry.

Tiger 2p can be killed by 3.3 tanks so can the jumbos.
From the front at range? Yes, I used the AEC II for Tigers, Tiger IIs, Panthers, and Jumbos, even the IS-3, of course not ranged apart from side shots. Churchill VII is slow asf and can’t even do that. Russia being the most trolly to verse in a chad wagon.
The Tiger can one shot these vehicles back. Now how does a Churchill VII fair against a ranged PzIV with a slight angle? Of course all vehicles around it make short work of a IV, but not that heavy. And we are talking low pen, low post pen, average reload, very slow chassis. However, using the Heavy Tank 6 as an example (so a worse E but better H), it has the gun and mobility to remain valid in the up tier, the armour yes is limited, but then in GFRB at least the Tiger faces less Panther guns, my main fear when in the Heavy 6 and not paired with Germany. The Tigers though, hilarious to verse as they mainly fail to pen me (in the same tank), then I one shot them as they are either flat on or showing the ammo rack of doom (the unclearable front left stack - please remove it to give the Tiger a bit of love).
And sorry but currently AP is a lot worse than APHE, generally.
So, if you are a Churchill VII at a decent range against open top tanks (so use HE, it DOES work for this gun at least) then yeah, all good. It surprises them to be one shot in those if they don’t see the shell used was HE.
People get killed by the VII because they are probably not in a 1 v 1 (so Church allies) or just don’t know the Churchill (slow, weak gun, SO many weak spots to APHE, not AP though).
And no, I am not seriously expecting the game to revolve around one (Infantry) heavy. But I see that certain players are adamant it should in the case of “their” vehicles (I try to play all, and at least spaded all to 7.0 in all but one nation, Israel). And of course these vehicles all play WITH each other as often as not (minor nations, even major).

Churchill first have to be able to get to the front and not spend half the match dragging themselves slowly only to get killed by someone spawning a plane xD
I am willing to bet my entire collection of GE that germany will not be getting a puma with spikes or a pzh2000 this update.

It is so easy to explain this:
1.We know Gaijin do economic, balance and other changes for earning money and maintaining players’ online time;
2.Lot of the players have already completed most of the research tree of Germany, but the number of players who completed new trees (for example Sweden) is far less
3.So is obvious that Gaijin pushes players to research new nations’ trees by adjusting the strength of these nations in top tier (also other methods applied, for example op premiums like VIDAR)
