This is definitely the work of volumetric + spall liners with a healthy dose of server desync then. IIRC the game calculates the hits on the server’s side rather than client’s side, and there’s a delay between the two. As such, moving vehicles are more likely to cause problems… issues that I had stationary T-90Ms take the most hogwash of shots and come out unscathed, just to One Hit Kill me via the gun mantlet.

When i play britain i struggle way less with russian tanks than leos. At least russian tanks die 1 shot to lfp most of the time.

Funnily… Leopard 2s blowout panels no longer work. I’ve died to ammunition explosions that originated in my turret stowage, despite the fact my blastdoor was never penetrated…

Not sure if this is also caused by server - client desync, or if we’ve got a “”“bug”“” on our hands.

No no, i don’t shoot turret rings from the side, only front.
From the side i try to aim on the hull aprox. under the iron cross or a little more in the front.

Maybe because Soviet dome turrets simp are apes that not know how to up against enemies that had some level of hull armor? because they get used to like close eyes and shoot any where at enemy’s hull and result kill everytimes they point and click? I have no surprise these apes never learn how to aim weak spot and not even mention their top tier line up with lot of luxury goods and still struggle result low win-rate because of unfinish model single tank? that even prove how low skills USSR dome turret simp are

but i they have to make nato tanks look weak and russian tanks look strong
cuz thats the only chance to show “positive” things about russia

I was playing Leopards the last days. They don’t make fun anymore. It doesn’t matter where and how you get hit. The spall cones are always that huge, they always kill everyone inside the tank. Its just about not to get seen, you cannot survive any hit. Even very bad ones kill you. We all know most maps just promote direct frontal combat…its disgusting. This nerf needs to be reversed, especially when you consider that most darts have no issues penning Leopard 2’s.

its maybe just my perception, but I also somehow suffered lose streaks vs. russians. Something I hadn’t since a while. Almost no won matches.

I also don’t understand why they bothered to model Leopard 2A7 spall liners, just to reduce the effectivness to a point where it almost don’t matter anymore. I don see an ingame difference beteen all the Leopard 2’s. You get penetrated and its over.

After the latest “fix” (nerf) to Leo’s spalling I get 85% to 90% one shotted. From the front when penetrated which isn’t rare anymore or side. Also, remember that 2A7V’s supposed to be way more survivable but it overperformed the USSR tanks so here we are, no spall liner working, getting one shotted most of the time.

That’s not even the case tbh. The only reason it was perceived to be “overpowered” (it is underperforming and always has been) is due to the fact that Russian mains had to actually learn how to aim. They couldn’t just pen the tank anywhere (besides turret cheeks) at almost any range. But when it’s Russian tanks and we complain about Russian tanks being overpowered and how they are severely over performing they just hit us with “get better learn to aim”. It’s extremely annoying that gaijin shows so much Bias to Russia (most recent report that got the Leo 2 nerfed is a prime example)

Just making spall liners not working can’t be it. Also that community always seems to be fine with these stunts is quite telling.

Where is the tech progression then? Leopard 27AV plays not differenty to any previous model now. Except its somehow much slower. The same glass cannon. One hit = taken out.

This is pretty much the case for every nation except maybe Russia. Tech progression stops at 11.3, or even before that, for most western nations in this game.

EDIT: should add that I mean in game. Thinking that the west didn’t develop any new tech/weaponry since the 90s is ridiculous.

At this point it just seems like gaijin is trying to make a reversed realism game. The leopard 2s are known for being well armored and mobile? Make them sluggish glass cannons. The Abrams is known for being extremely survivable with good ammo? Make it incredibly fragile with mediocre ammo. The russian T series MBTs are known for being deathtraps with severe design flaws that make them almost always catastrophically fail when penetrated? Make them almost indestructible. I’m surprised someone hasn’t sued the devs for false advertising at this point.
