That’s not even the case tbh. The only reason it was perceived to be “overpowered” (it is underperforming and always has been) is due to the fact that Russian mains had to actually learn how to aim. They couldn’t just pen the tank anywhere (besides turret cheeks) at almost any range. But when it’s Russian tanks and we complain about Russian tanks being overpowered and how they are severely over performing they just hit us with “get better learn to aim”. It’s extremely annoying that gaijin shows so much Bias to Russia (most recent report that got the Leo 2 nerfed is a prime example)
Just making spall liners not working can’t be it. Also that community always seems to be fine with these stunts is quite telling.
Where is the tech progression then? Leopard 27AV plays not differenty to any previous model now. Except its somehow much slower. The same glass cannon. One hit = taken out.
This is pretty much the case for every nation except maybe Russia. Tech progression stops at 11.3, or even before that, for most western nations in this game.
EDIT: should add that I mean in game. Thinking that the west didn’t develop any new tech/weaponry since the 90s is ridiculous.
At this point it just seems like gaijin is trying to make a reversed realism game. The leopard 2s are known for being well armored and mobile? Make them sluggish glass cannons. The Abrams is known for being extremely survivable with good ammo? Make it incredibly fragile with mediocre ammo. The russian T series MBTs are known for being deathtraps with severe design flaws that make them almost always catastrophically fail when penetrated? Make them almost indestructible. I’m surprised someone hasn’t sued the devs for false advertising at this point.
Exactly! Got the words from my mouth thank you, and also the breech shots lead to one shot kills a lot as well. We need to learn their weak points and aim perfectly meanwhile they hold W to point and click at us
Never could and still can’t.
You literally can. The only way you can’t is if you’re so unbelievably bad that you shoot at the 3 pixel thick line of actual armor on the Leo 2A7V’s hull.
Btw, the Leo 2A7V’s spall liners have officially become non functional. (feel free to use my clip in any bug reports)
if you lower its the same thing dosent even need to be right on a crewmember lol
I’m aware
All this extra weight of the 2A7V, which greatly impairs ingame mobility, obviously for nothing. I don’t feel any difference between protection / survivability of the A6 and A7V.
Also what sense makes this sophisticated damage model in War Thunder, when everything is dead after one hit anyways?
Also stuff like repair mates and so on. Have you lately tried to do repair assist tasks at top tier Germany? I played 5 matches a row and gave up, cause not a single teammate requiered repairs. All die if penetrated.
Wait we don’t do facts and evidence here.
I’d like to know what he did to get those results, because this is quite far from what the T-80BVM behaves like in live gameplay when hit.
Shot at T-80BVM
Yeah, but I mean behind the scenes, because the T-80BVM doesn’t spall like that in actual gameplay compared to what it does in that video.
The x-ray does not seem to be always correct. At 1:26, he can be seen shooting to the hull and seeing how the fuel tank just eats the shot but it appears to have been ammoracked, Replays of X-rays are pretty buggy overall, so the results of the X-rays are not very consistent with what is actually happening, also there are parts where he directly aims at propellant charges that are not fully protected by ERA, and even in the video, you can see the ERA eating a shot. Some of the shots even go right through the gunner and commander, which obviously gets both, but for the most part, he seems to be aiming at rather clear parts where it’s obvious he is going to get a kill, there is obviously the parts where its more legit like fuel explosions and ammo racks from the upper ammo but tbh im seeing more obvious shots than anything- that’s my own analysis, i would still recommend you to look at it
Custom games are hosted on the same servers and everything works the same
Win rates is team skill. KDR is a player skill. KDR ratio among like-tanks per account is what determines if something’s OP.
@Commodus6504
Soviet player skill is about the same as always. No explosion in win rate.
And likely other players already told you this.
@Murica_guy4883
Tanks spall identically [within X parameters] in all game modes, even in the test drive.
because in live gameplay you also get shit like desync ping and other stuff working + the volumetric magic
And its probably safe to say that the servers from gaijin aren’t the best ones out there…
