guns that can engage nearby targets and disable or even destroy tanks
50% more range on the SAM
12 ready-to-fire missiles, whereas the FlaRakRad has a maximum of two, which can only be reloaded once the second missile has passed out of the guidance range or hit an obstacle
the ability to fire on the move
superior radar
How does that justify these two systems to be at the same BR, or even just one step apart, as you suggested?
The Pantsir should easily be 1.0 above the FlaRakRad.
Then Tornado IDS ASSTA needs to go up by 0.7 BR minimum for ground battles as well.
Cause the reason Pantsir is 11.7 is because the CAS that kills it are 11.3+.
I spammed out aircraft of all tech trees to see if a Pantsir would frag me.
I however stopped maining CAS the moment I started attempting the 20km Achievement as it’s an inefficient use of spawn points when I could just spawn an interceptor, bait all the Pantsir missiles for my friendly CAS while taking out enemy CAS. A far superior strategy.
I do it in EJ Kai, F-16, etc. At least half of my F-16ADF matches are from ground battles.
For the 20km achievement you can also launch an AGM at ~15km and just do a 180° turn. You only need to be 20km from the target at the moment of its death.
There are improvements, the Type 81 (C) ARH has an effective range of 14km, the Type 11 has 15km+, with the exact number unknown.
The Type 11 also uses AESA over the Type 81 (C) ARH PESA seeker.
*All top tier SPAA (including pantsir) should have a range of up to 6 km. Not more.
*All top tier SPAA tasks should be to shoot down air-to-ground missiles, and get silver and xp for that.
*The task of hunting CAS should be CAP. Now it’s especially easy with FOX3 rockets. No player who explodes 3 times in a row and does nothing useful for the team, should not have the opportunity to take SPAA for less than 100sp, and one click to kill the player who used 900 points for the plane.
It’s funny to me that the Type 81 is considered to be on par with the Pantsir by Gaijin, to have an SPAA without a radar and limited range, no offensive abilities supposedly as a counterpart to the Pantsir.
Yet somehow it’s not even remotely the most delusional view Gaijin has.
Why does the Pantsir need to move up? The only person who could advocate for that is a sweaty C*S main who wants to have impunity over the ground and ruin the game for everyone else.
Other nations should receive SAM systems that are equal to the Pantsir instead of nerfing the one actually decent SPAA.
