Hes saying the t64a has less armour than a chieftain mk3… Im not sure he quite understands what he means by that… i can say a gepard can one shot the chieftain frontally but i can also say it cant to a t64a? and i can tell the guy has never used a chieftain on cqb as he would know corners are not something to scoff at in it.

What world does he live in to think a chieftain mk3 would have a better armour layout than a chieftain? the entire hull and some of the turret is a weakspot on it while a t64a has its lfp and breach? Is this the mythical player keeping russian win rates down?

He called the Yak-3U slower than a Zero.

The same Yak-3U that does 627 km/h TAS @ 700m altitude, whilst the A6M5 Otsu does 491 km/h.

Chieftain Mk 3 top speed incorrect [accepted]
Chieftain Mk 5, 10, Marksman top speed incorrect [accepted]
Chieftain Mk 3 mass incorrect [accepted]

Chieftain Mk 3 engine power incorrect
Chieftain Mk 5 engine power incorrect
Chieftain Mk 10 engine power incorrect
Chieftain Marksman engine power incorrect

Engine power reports are in line with @MatrixRupture’s master report, just trying a different approach.

The T64A IRL could be UFP by a chieftain at 2000 meters mind you before we even made the CR1.
Folks seem to think russian tanks as the person you responded to has, are super armoured…

Or it could just simply disappears with no trace, you wouldn’t even find it in your post/submission history like it suddenly gone, poof disappears like it never happened. At least something like this has happen around here before, some rather high effort posts too.

Well this doesnt happen in game bc the T64A has too much armour eq vs KE on the hull
And the lacklustre apds calculator

There are basically two immovable objects preventing this from happening lol

You can in certain points just not at 2000 meters.
Though L15A5 would resolve it , if it were modelled correctly

Was pointed out to me that the Chieftain 3 and 5 have optical rangefinder modifications. These don’t exist on these vehicles (also the FV4202). So:

Yup they infact never had these and I argued once they did, and was catagorically wrong. they went straight from ranging gun to LRF :D

Would be funny of them to remove the range finder from the mk5 but still refuse to give it lrf despite all mk5 standard chieftains having them.

It physically can’t be a Mk5 without the barr and Stroud tank laser sight and muzzle reference. All they need to do is enable LRF and replace the barrel on the model with the one from mk10/900 and it would be near enough bang on

It can, the first chieftain mk5s rolled out the factory without the barr and stroud, but only for about 3 motnhs I think of production, the issue is they then get redesignated.
So technically the chieftain Mk5/1 I think it was,( @Jarms tends to know the designations better than I do) came out the factory without a laser range finder, but was quickly changed to it.
as well as the muzzle reference I don’t think that was added until a decent little bit after the LRF.
though what we have in game is not a Mk5 by any standard now.
