How about the poor T-64A at an BR of 9.3 with no range finder, no Thermals as well and only APFSDS and no armor as well…? At it BR it can meet tanks with Thermals, Tank with radars Tanks with Laser Range finder. Even worse The Chieftain is very OK in it BR.
Have you tried the T-64A thread? In fact, T-64A has a powerful 125mm cannon so these tanks are similar in that respect. T-64B just ahead looks like a much superior choice for you AND it has 3BM42 which is goated round. I like the Chieftains (except mobility) but we have seperate topics for a reason.
Ye but the Chieftain also have quite a good gun aswell it Mobility may not be the best. However the T-64A also have a very bad reverse speed it may have a good top speed however it basically impossible to reach it. The engine is way to weak. Overall the Chieftain will surely be a better tank then the T-64a.
fix(nerf) it’s armour, and then drop it to 9.0

Ha ha ha ha ha, no. Sorry but in what world is the t64 worse than the chieftain mk 3/5? If your on about the mk 10 then its equivalent at its worst and slightly better overall. Only thing the mk10 has over it is hulldown and i can count on my hand the number of occasions that becomes relevant in maps nowadays.
The t64a is far from obsolete, decent armour (enough to stop a majority of 105mm apfsds it would face at its br) along with ok mobility make it better than the mk10 even without a laser range finder as most maps you either wont need it or it wouldnt help anyway.

The main reason is the T64A survivability it low and it also very easy to ammorack and Reloading is by Autoloader which have a good reloading rate however if the engine is dead the Reloading rate basically doubles up. T-64A at it BR is just way to weak. It may have a good gun but it mobility is also trash.
Thats the BIGGEST advantage russian tanks have. Having a very small area frontally to be penned is a massive advantage. If a chieftain comes round the conrer you could shoot centre mass and be good as itll most likely hit its ammo or half its crew and take it out. A t64a could survive a centre mass shot quite easily. either by tanking it or it simply not doing neough damage. There is no argument were the t64a is even somewhat equivilant to a mk5 or 3. A mk10 maybe but even that would push it.
The T64A is basically 1 Shot and died all crews are cramped together with it Ammos while the Chieftain have atleast some distance between it which increase it survivability. also they have major advantage on their gun depression making them way better on hilly maps. While the T64A with -6 not enough
Yeah, hill maps. 90% of what you see are city maps. i wonder which of these two tanks would suit that better?
You must be a lucky guy getting lot of city maps if it in city then the Chieftain will still be a better option due to it quiter enginer the T64A engine is so damn loud I can hear it from so far away which making it less stealthy and again at close range battle Pentraction is the highest the Chieftain still have a better Armor meanwhile the T64A can be easily 1 shoted from anywhere even a WW2 tank can easily pentrate it frontal armor or Overpressure it.
I am interested to know what WW2 tanks could frontally penetrate the T-64
Tiger II, IS-2, Fv4005, Kungstiger, Strumtiger, Maus, E-100 and obv any sweden tank with APDS or big calibre gun HE over pressure and more…

Ok, btw, are you shooting ufp, or where are you targeting? It was my understanding that the ufp was pretty strong.
Also, FV4005 is not WW2, not that it would do much if it penned the T-64 anyways

Lower front plate and upper front plate driver port and if your tank is taller then the t64a you can pen it like in flat angle making it an easy kill.
It sounds like you are shooting very small weakspots. By the same argument you could say the chieftain is very weak as well. After all, reserve tanks can pen its lfp

Hes saying the t64a has less armour than a chieftain mk3… Im not sure he quite understands what he means by that… i can say a gepard can one shot the chieftain frontally but i can also say it cant to a t64a? and i can tell the guy has never used a chieftain on cqb as he would know corners are not something to scoff at in it.
What world does he live in to think a chieftain mk3 would have a better armour layout than a chieftain? the entire hull and some of the turret is a weakspot on it while a t64a has its lfp and breach? Is this the mythical player keeping russian win rates down?
