Indeed they don’t get the same upgrades, they are getting Better ones. Germany currently Is upgrading theyr fleet with the ecrs mk1 while Italy Will upgrade it’s fleet with the mk2 (wich Is better). Btw Iris-t Is a joint project were Italy Is the second biggest partner.

i refer to the one being based off for later production models, and the issue with identifying them is the fact germany has like 3 different eurofighters in service with different stuff, As far as i know, germany will receive some twin-seaters and one-seaters, the twin-seater being made specifically for ground attack and to clear enemy AA’s, and the single seater to fit intercommunication with other systems for air space so they can all identify and mark in their radar the enemy to take inmediate action
going back into theme by the time italy gets 2A8’s we will see the first prototype of the leopard 3 or 2AX and it will be pretty outdated specially taking in count the new 130 mm that its probably gonna get used in the 2AX

for what i could talk and find apparently the next one 2A9 it seems like its gonna be autoloaded there is a turret patent that might have to do with the project, but its gonna stay with the 120 till the next leopard

The NATO standard for MBTs is currently 120mm, 130mm would be outside the standard.
yeah just below that i corrected my statement with a patent for a 120 mm turret with an autoloader, plus there is a patent too for a 760 mm long penetrator
It’s a new type of paint. It’s still bring rolled out. Only a few units have their vehicles painted with this color currently, but it is going to become the standard for combat vehicles in the force. Older vehicles should also receive this paint.

Unfortunately, no. We were in the motorpool conducting training, and it was a “oh, they really do look different” type of moment. I didn’t think to get a photo. I don’t think I would be able to put it up here anyway because the photo would have to be taken through the gunner’s sights, and I don’t think that’s something I can post on an open forum without permission.
