They have gotten 3 so far, the KV-8 will be 4th. That is out of a total of 9, so not more then half. Is it much? Yes, but then so did we have a lot of US event vehicles bunched together last year (T86/F-106A/EFV) within the same timeframe of 6 months.
O-I Heavy Tank for Dreams Come True pls
Most things with RU/SU are a bit out of balance in WT. The company might be registered abroad, but this doesnt mean alot, imho.
AK-225, MiG-25, T-72B3, TU-95, and KV-8 makes five. What other nation has had so many event vehicles in the past months?
Will it have functional hull machine gun, like KV-1 (ZiS-5) has?
I believe so
Tbh I’ll welcome any WW2 event tank :)
Hell yeah, more flamethrowers!
Super hyped for this one
guys, what D-Day event again? The Sherman one, right?
Last year it was the Churchill AVRE
Edit: it was the T86, mixed it up lol
The Churchill was 2024
what is the point for a 7.2 mm mashine gun in a hull? You cant pen light tanks, only exposed crew members, the mashine gun has limited degrees, its only purpose is anti infantry, what is not here yet. It is cool, but a useless feature.
It’s way to break bushes / fences easily and from a distance, while also not literally lighting a bonfire in your position in this case
Nice vehicle, definition of brawler. However I’m concerned if the next event will be an ground vehicle or a airplane. Hey, the Israeli Pereh would be kinda nice in my opinion as another unique option for future event vehicle.

Wouldn’t really fit most maps due to its natural arch with the weapons bay open to launch the missiles but would be kinda fun to spam fire-and-forget missiles around praying that atleast few hit and destroy.
Not how you may think, if the reload-time for regular and aced crews stays the same, the penetration factor which is the main downside at this battle rating wouldn’t be much of a problem combined with improved armor in comparison to other KV-1s variations available in the game.
Armor-wise I couldn’t find any information for the turret, probably the same found in the KV-1 (1940) (the square-like shaped turret with welded armor instead of casted armor steel in earlier and later variants) combined with a visible turret neck (picke-shaped however, I don’t think it will be a reliable weakspot even at short ranges front-on in the KV-1 (1941) chassis (improved armor with add-on armor plates).
okay, for the Kv 8 its usefull, but generally, we have mountaid mashine guns and coax
The FOG flame thrower trap model looks nice. Hopefully that means we will see it in infantry mode.
Also Germany would use captured and copy’s of it. One flaw is you can easily re use it unlike a land mine apparently.
“the armor is the most important factor in wt”
Doesn’t matter if the gun is practically made for flanking. And if you wish to flank, the mobility of the kv-1 won’t let you do that effectively.
I have to say if you are a bt7 lover, you will love kv8 because you know all the weak spots
