Typically Victory day is a Soviet event vehicle and D-Day vehicles are Western Allied nation focused yes.

That is a later model KV. The KV was build from 1939 to 1942. The model 1941 is the second to last and is already in game as the KV-1 ZiS-5. So that is (most of your) armour scheme for the KV-8.

Addendum: For some extra depth to this, whilst the west and most of Asia speaks only of WW2, the Soviet Union called their conflict with Germany by another name: the Great Patriotic War. And to all intent and purpose, that war ended with the surrender of Germany, and is therefore considered the major anniversary date in the USSR, later Russia.
The Soviets did not actually go to war with Japan until after they defeated Germany, and thus that conflict, which was relatively minor from a Soviet perspective, is not considered within the same narrative from most Russian points of view.

So the Russians get their 2nd event tank of the year already and the 3 other western nations have to take turn for DDay? Rhssia has gotten a ton of even vehicles over the past 6 months. Over half of the total!

Gun will be probably still sufficient to pwn Panzer IV and other mediums. I guess Gajin gives it a super low BR, and thx to its omg armor it will be very op.
It’s quite literally the 45mm 20-K. The same one you get on the T-50, BT series, and T-70/-80.
Yeah, it’ll deal with Panzers quite nicely.
