Go to cargo port, get a flat and clear area and just record 0-68.
At this point, fix the armour or give us shard.
Or half functional mobility would at least be a start.
The VT-4 and VT-4A1 aren’t any better. They have far worse reload rate and one of the worst armor and survivability performances.
I guess that the last BR change isn’t final, and there will be an additional BR decompression in the near future, when those MBTs will be adjusted and placed into BRs which are suitable for their performance.
What Leclerc needs most may be a good track. When you compare Leclerc and M1, you will find that although Leclerc should have the same flexibility, its bad track destroys everything. It cannot stop when it should stop, nor can it turn quickly. It lacks armor itself, and bad tracks even prevent it from turning towards the enemy’s direction in a timely manner. At the same time, it often slips out of cover and is destroyed by the enemy due to it.
if Leclerc have same track like M1,at least it can be a glass cannon, maneuverability allows it to avoid direct confrontation with enemies. But all of this was ruined by the terrible tracks, now its steering performance is even as bulky as the Challenger2, and its grip performance is also suck.
it can’t drive up a slight uphill and turn while doing so when starting from a full stop, i mean…im not sure the devs at snail hq have ever seen a real tank or a video of one moving in rough terrain…the leclercs uphill mobility is only rivalled by the ITO which, the snail seems to believe cant go uphill at all. The french (or whoever built the chassis) seemingly have just built a military spaa and ifv chassis that is restiricted to be used going downhill only. flat after the downhill may be ok, but flat only is already a problem. (which is extra funny because i remember a tug-of-war me in a mbt vs a pantsir shortly after its introduction. needless to say the 60 ton mbt didnt have much of a chance…)
It’s true that auto loaded 5 second reload is a strong attribute of the Leclerc. But there aren’t many other redeeming points and far too much wrong with it for Leclerc to be effective.
For example, the Type 90 is at 11.7 with a 4 second autoloader. It doesn’t have a top tier equivalent round, nor Gen 2 thermals of Leclerc, but its armor is comparable. Not to mention better mobility, hydropneumatic suspension, and LWS - which the Leclercs lack. Leclerc would be well balanced at 12.0 or lower.
