I suggest that any attack, whether guided or unguided, should be considered invalid if the player leaves the vehicle immediately after launching it.
Recently, we’ve all seen some strange situations in Air RB. Some players launch a large number of rockets from a distance into base and then immediately leave their vehicles. This involves a bug related to crew locking, and I’ve heard that some suggestions regarding this issue have already been approved in the issue section.
However,it’s debatable for players to launch unguided weapons or fire-and-forget guided weapons at aerial, ground, or surface targets and then leave the vehicle immediately afterward. This not only creates an unequal condition for both sides to earn rewards by eliminating players but also has elements of passive gaming. It should be subject to some restrictions.
I’d like to hear your thoughts on this.
I think any player crashing or J’ing out should give the kill to the closest person within 3km, as this would be great to implement manuever kills or scummy J out tactics.
NO.
That would be not realistic at all. Fired ammunitions should not disappear when the pilot leave his vehicle.
I think there could be conditions built in, for eample:
- Altitude
- Damage
- Proximity to enemy aircraft (see the abovementioned idea with maneuver kills)
Idea is to decide if there was a valid reason for ejecting.
no distance limits. Otherwise it just shifts the issue for like kill denial to further away
fired munitions disapper in this game, after they travelled a maximum distance^^
Also the max render ranges are way to short, which is also unrealistic.
We need loads of changes
Of course, this idea needs to refine a considerable number of detailed rules to ensure its feasibility and to avoid harming players who are engaged in normal gameplay. It will require some time for contemplation, discussion, and testing.
I have a few main points:
-
If someone is ejected due to factors such as distance or damage, and as a result, the opposing player scores, the mechanism for canceling the attack will not be triggered.
-
Using guided bombs, AGM, or ARH missiles to attack from a long distance and then immediately ejecting to eliminate any possibility of being counterattacked is not considered legitimate, especially in Air RB with single-vehicle battles.
-
If someone claims to have an urgent matter, such as needing to use the toilet, it depends on the urgency. If it’s not that urgent, they can wait for their attack to hit the target. If it’s really urgent, they should abandon the attack and exit directly. After all, it’s just a game, and real life is more important : )
Deleting munitions is just tooooo arcade. Crash and j3 should give kills to prevent kill denial.
Why not remove base from normal ARB mode and give these zombers a 50% reward PvE mode to fight against AAs and striking base?
The reason for zombers partly because they don’t really want air battles, but want CAS/CAP planes for GRB, so if there’s a base, they will go for it.
What they doing now is jump into a Phantom, using Zuni to destroy enemy base on the head of allies base, then J-out and move vehicle to another crew.
So, the deeper reason is, they cant really do air battles, that can’t be easliy soluted by remove projectile as there’s already MiG-23ML with only ZB-500. What they want is a way that can destroy enemy base without facing enemy and going faster than any other teammates.
I don’t even think 3km, I think if a missile is actively tracking you within a certain range it should count. I’d say 3-5km.
Though I realize this would be hard to implement because multiple could be tracking the same target. So maybe just give it to whoever’s missile is closer.
Nice painting, but please don’t mind me reminding you that due to the existence of Guided Bombs, AGM, and ARH missiles, similar situations are inevitable in the Ground RB.
If more players attempt to do this, simply paying the regular repair costs and facing no other restrictions, this game will be broken.
After all, everyone might think, “Ive got a beef with that guy. Why should I let him get an easy kill?”
My core viewpoint remains that everyone seems to want a “free pass to attack but not be attacked in return.” However, if someone wants to evade a missile or any other attack, it should be done through in-game methods, rather than “breaking the fourth wall,” and without any additional penalties.
Guys, please check the practices in the military vehicle game WOT regarding such issues.
- If you AFK or act like a bot, you will be reported and may even be banned.
- If you forcibly exit the battle, you will receive a warning in the garage.
- If you refuse to engage with the enemy and deliberately drive your tank into the river to commit suicide, you will be charged an excessive vehicle repair fee, which includes not only the HP of the tank itself but also the additional costs for each individual component.
In short, I hope the game can further encourage players to actively participate in combat and crack down on negative gaming behaviors that affect other players. This would be a good start.
I would pay those excessive vehicle fees to stop CAS or revenge CAS especially lol. I was worried for a while because I always try to J out as im getting bombed that I would get in trouble but thankfully confirmed from staff that I cant get in trouble for that.
(Also if you have an issue with this stay mad and get enough skill to face me in a tank)
Currently all the methods to deny kills are indeed in-game features, right? The game provide us with a J key, a ESC menu and “leave vehicle” option, and an option to ram the ground. I even believe the “crew lock” thing discussed on some Chinese forums is originally a feature, cuz literally the name “crew lock” means locking that one crew instead of the plane.
Leaving the vehicle is realistic in a huge amount of situations. To say that leaving the vehicle is “breaking the fourth wall” is ignorant of reality.
