After playing against it more, I agree. It’s not impossible to counter, but that means either having another plane in the air ready to intercept it (rare), or a notably skilled SPAA player who can get the drop on it (Also rare).
While the flight performance is weak, you can counteract it by just taking long, lopping paths around the map, which is helped by the fact that with CCIP and Zunis, you really don’t have to make any violent maneuvers if you’re on top of things.
And the CCIP Zunis really are about as easy as CAS gets until you get FnF weapons.
Like a increasing number of vehicles, it should never have been added, as there’s no BR it can land at where it will be balanced. But removing the Zunis strikes me as an obvious step.
Ya no.
The MB has the flight characteristics to stay alive against another plane, if it it would require outside help for them to survive.
The l39 even with help would likely die seeing even 4.0 props can out compete unless the thing was stripped bare. Then 6.0 props would be running them down
No just remove the zunis and call it a day. Is it gonna be strong, ya, but it be so easily counterable it kinda needs to have a leg up as well to offset that. Or we remove the ccip and it gets dropped down to 6.7
The MB-326K is a vastly superior platform for CAS.
L39 to 8.3? Cool, MB-326K to 9.0 for fairness.
M163 easily deals with L39s.
for ARB too, I don’t like it that it is spammed and somehow none of the players even achieve 2 kills with it, no other reason.
So send it to 7.7 because I feel like it too
No one can get 2 kills with it because it has performance competitive with the P51 D
It would be hot garbage and the only reason it’s 7.3 and not 6.0 is the CCIP making it viable
Meanwhile 7.3 we have:

These SPAAs and SPGS should be at least 8.7 by someone who believes the 80-90s even after the 2000s must get higher BR
hell no lol.
I hadn’t played 6.7 or 7.3 in a bit. It’s almost like if you have 7.3 Japan on your team you win. Sometimes that’s in my favor sometimes it’s not.
Ho-ri production and this plane are an insane combo.
@Burgerbean
M163 deals with superior aircraft like Sea Hawk.
If you think M163 can’t deal with inferior aircraft like L39, I have a bridge to sell you.
I agree with the answer unless we are dealing with a noob in L39.
Does Sea Hawk have CCIP and Zuni rockets?
Sea Hawk has flight performance, both in speed & maneuverability, which is needed to dodge M163 fire from within CAS range.
L39 has to get within M163 range as well for accurate fire.
Please answer the question.
Because anything other You have said is just pure nonsense. No one in his sane mind would pick Sea Hawk against M163 if he could use L-39 with Zuni rockets.
You don’t even need to hit M163 in order to kill it and with CCIP, You are allowed to do that outside of M163 effective range.
Against L39, it is better to use fighters and SPGs. I never thought an SPG with HE-VT could shoot down CAS at a distance of 4 km, and L39 is pretty easy to be shot down by any fighters around this BR; also, the CCIP is not accurate, especially far from 1 km. Full-armor-protection SPAAs are not so critical.
I mean, personally I think they should divide it by eras. Players can opt in to play an up tier from the previous era into the next one for a bonus in SL or whatever.
Yeah it would need some work to make sure stuff didn’t get invalidated entirely… like a more in depth gameplay loop that offered better bonuses and gameplay systems for teamwork/teamplay.
what “person” thinks that time period of service has literally anything to do with BR? If someone thinks this they need to stop smoking vapor off a spoon.
Right, This is now the 2nd thread Ive seen on this plane. I hard grinded it out over the last couple days to find out for myself.
I’ve played 2 games in it, completely stock so no zunis yet, gotta go to bed now so I guess tomorrow, but so far:
-Flight performance is very poor. Props will have no problem engaging and killing it. It takes forever to accelerate, loses energy fast, and struggles to get it back. Turning performance is workable, but you lose so much speed in a turn. I was able to dogfight an Me262 just. but I found that when props came after me I was stuck just kind of running away with very little ability to counter them. Though I was able to chase an Fw190 down. It also takes forever to slow down when landing lol, the airbrake doesnt do much. Also, no combat flaps.
-Only 120 rounds for its gun and a high RoF, your ammo lasts bugger all. Good damage on the shells though with intuitive ballistics so far.
-I’ve only got the stock 500lb bombs it came with, but yes the CCIP is a massive highlight.
Comparing this to the strikemaster at least, The Strikemaster runs rings around this in flight performance. So far I think the Strikemaster is a much more capable airframe as a Jet at this BR, its much more able to hold its own in a dogfight despite its piddly guns. Mine is completely stock so im sure some of the lack of power and acceleration will be improved on with upgrades.
It definitely feels like the CCIP is the entire identity of this aircraft. Without it I dont think It’d deserve to be above 6.7. there was another one in my game who was running Zunis and I could see that he was quite effective against ground targets, but the second an enemy plane spawned and chased him he got shot down immediately, as I imagine you’d have to dump the heavy rocket pods to have any sort of chance against another aircraft. Since I was running blank after dropping my bombs I had more of a chance.
Is 7.3 too low? Inconclusive with a stock aircraft without the weapons that make it strong unlocked.
