I’ve got mixed feelings about that. Would certainly prefer the RAF D over the SAAF C. but it would be fine short term.
My biggest fear with it is the “Why do you want the Typhoon, you have the Gripen, just use that” even after the point where Typhoon could have been added. Basically what a few have been saying about the Tornado F3 whenever we ask for something A2A recently.
But as a short term stop gap, it would be fine. Though I’d also quite like the SHar FA2, if it doesnt come soon, it would be a filler in a future update, and that would be a shame. Kinda like the FRS1, good aircraft, but not quite as exciting as it would have been if it was added when 11.0 was top tier.
Though im suspecting a German Mig-29 Situation and if we get one, it will be March update.
Ah I never thought about it being used like that, kinda like the AJ in a way but not nearly as painful as the Tornados comparison, Britain needs help so bad, the people who use the “well you have something just use it” or “just play another nation” dont have Brit main friends or see the forums (although I cant say I havent been apart of the “play another nation” folk)
the grippen operated by the RAF is a 2 seater with no internal gun (the 2 seater versions had no gun and could not mount them) id rather a single seater from SAAF
There is a simple solution, though people may not be a big fan of it: prem F-4S is renamed “F-4S early”, then we get a late F-4S in the TT with 9Ls, as well as different skins (probs mostly low-vis).
