That means the stinger should have an optimized guidance system

Yea I find 3 update per month is a bit too much at this end of the year
hmmm I don’t know much about this type of system but wouldn’t NATO systems like Stinger have something to counter the same.problem.too?

Unfortunately they never really developed a more modern manpads since they depend more in spaa
hope they put these vehicles up in br with these changes, especially the strela now has much better missles. Should be higher than the ozelot and co.

I Will disagree with this putting them at a higher br cuz of a new feature being added is kinda substancial since it Will still fight the same planes and helis and still has a Lot of weakness like helis behind terrains
There is the Stinger -RMP Block II which never made it to service which uses the seeker off the AIM-9R (AIM-9X) and as such is an IIR FPA so could sort of take advantage of the new mechanic.
to be fair the, strela missle is a lot stronger then the stinger one/ type 91 missle
then stinger vehicle needs to move down. Ozelot and lav atm are even higher than these vehicles despite beeing now weaker.
What would datalink bring to the table?

Practically the same the as the existing Seeker being slaved to a radar contact that Aircraft have with later missiles.
