With naval radars, that is typically dictated by the presence of ASM or equivalent. Tornado Gr1, ASSTA and IDS could all get the straight C&P of the naval radar on the MFG but they dont because of no ASMs.
Yeah I believe the JH-7 was actually initially chosen for it’s anti shipping abilities and then later versions like the JH-7A on the dev server were modified too provide accurate air too ground strike capabilities, which is something that will be really welcome at Chinese top tier rn
Yeh, looking good either way. Interesting to see what they choose to give it if its 11.7 but what I imagine to be an equivalent to the Tornado IDS in role. I suppose it’ll prehaps have a loadout akin to the Gr7 but the flight performance of an IDS
im sure JH7A’s flight performance is better than Tornado IDS, but you know, Tornados’ flight performance is been nerfed in game
I meant as in fighter bomber and super sonic with precision A2G. Probably the closest in BR comparison that I can think of at least.
As far as loadouts go, it’s kinda interesting, because at most you can carry 4 air too air missles(best combo possible is 2XPL-5’s + 2XPL-8’s) and then it can carry 4 optically guided missles that would be some of the most advanced electro optical missles in game, and potentially some of the longest range if Gajjin models them accurately. All of course while carrying a targeting pod
In this sense tho it would still feel overall weaker than say the F-16C which alot more options tho, so 11.7 still seems fair too me
fair enough, will be curious to see if its got the same nerfs with its AGMs. Gr7 and Tornado Gr1 have a range cap of about 13-14km on there TIALD pod which does hamper your abilitiy to fire at the weapons max (theoretical) range of 20km.
I wouldn’t be surprised if the Missles we get for the JH-7A only tack at around 10-15 Km much like the AGM-65D’S, since anything beyond that would put us into a new generation of air too ground weapons that totally outrange all SPAA. Either way, even if I only get 4 of them, it’s still a big boost too chinas strike capabilities, and I’ll always take some standoff weapons strapped too a big plane

Yeah, 15km used smart is plenty. But we are primed to enter that new era I reckon. Brimstone I reckon could come anytime next year and we are entering rank 8 ground at some point which I reckon will probably include rank 8 SPAA too.
Hu? Jaguar Gr1A is a 10.3 transonic with max A2G of 2x Paveway III. The closest comparison to a 11.7 fighter bomber is probably the Torando Gr1 with 3x PGM-2000s or 4x PGM-500s that is capable of supersonic speeds.
In terms of AGM capabilies then it would probably be the Gr7/Av-8B+ but those are sub-sonic
Only problem I see is that a good advanced CAS plane already has the advantage of played smart as thaings currently are, even against something like the Pantsir, but if we go forward with more advanced fire and forget weapons, then the balance is totally tipped in favor of CAS, and the only way too reliably counter would be with fighter jets
Which debatably is the reaslistic situation, but lets not touch that one. But yeah, with the somewhat chronic lack of more capable SPAA recently, and the general nerfing to most of those that we have got. I am curious if they’ll include a large batch of 12.0 SPAA that might have the capabilies to counter the long range A2G likely coming in the next year or so.
(Britain for example could get a truck that fires ASRAAM :P )

yeah i asked my friend and he told me what JH7A acturlly is: A jaguar with better engine. and JH7A can take much more A2G missiles or GBU, so i think it can be seen as a jaguar plus

Hmmm… I wonder if thats the early Jaguars we have in game like the Gr1 or late Jaguars that for some reason have yet to be added. Like the Gr3A which had quite major engine upgrades iirc
