AH-64E
By the sounds of it, its mostly engine and sensor upgrades. But Id imagine it would be able to carry better AGMs in game

I get you, but to a certain degree that’s just how progression works ingame
While I can see them foldering helis that are on the brink of being duplicates I cannot see them foldering the only 2 rank 6 helis that a nation has, as that would make other nations cry about having to grind so much more
yeah xD but there are none, the next upgrade is the hellfire longbow which is to strong
For now, its a good news enough if they decided to fold the heli. I dont dream too much
Hey, at least we aren’t playing USSR and have to grind through 6-7 helis to get to the top variant
Looks like AGM-114R Hellfire II though not longbow.
Though interestingly, according to this:
AGM-114 Hellfire - Wikipedia (not the best site I know)
AGM-114Ks that we have on the Ah1 in game, should have a range 11km, not their current 8… Interesting.
But we could also see other systems, like Sidewinder instead of just Starstreaks and maybe even AGM-122 Sidearms.
But for the most part it would just be a straight airframe upgrade over the current aircraft.
Yeah, its a long march lol. Glad I finished it with a sturmvogel from the skin chest quite long ago.
ngl 11km range on atgms is pushing it a bit when it comes to balance
That sounds like great fun for the tank players lol
Hehe :P Whilst of course they’ll nerf them into the ground. I am looking forward to 18x Brimstones on the Tornado Gr4/Harrier Gr9A :P
Can AGM-114Ls even launch without a radar lock? Like is it as easy as using optics to designate a target and then it’s good to go?
I’d think it’d be like radar missiles on planes where you’d have to at least select the target on the radar HUD and then lock and fire at that. If that’s the case, anyone who has used the Apache radar knows it’s hard to find a valid target (i.e not a wreck or a friendly). So I don’t think it’d be overpowered. Worst case could make smoke disable the lock but keep inertial guidance so it’d perform similarly to Vikhrs going through and hitting stationary targets in smoke.
Perhaps? Some of the best parts that make no difference in this game, unfortunately, is the C4i integrations, and the other Longbow related developments for datalink communication.
It has a better transmission and rotor blades, so it has better flight performance that 64D.
I’m not sure about ordinance, but it seems right now, that anything that would gain parity with the Vikhr, would surpass it.
In other words, it’s not the 64E being superior, but certain Hellfires and Brimstones that would make them incredibly potent. I’m not sure the game is ready for that. Also, what you do for one, you have to do for the other. So LMUR’s and Kh-29T’s are at least on the table, if not Hermes-A.
I wouldn’t see an issue with gaijin just buffing the range of the Hellfire Ks by a km to get them closer to the Vikhrs, just not to the full 11 km
Yeah, how much it would add is of course limited. Direct upgrades arent always huge leaps (though 2x Brimstone could be an interesting edge in itself)
But more likely next top tier heli, for britain at least, will probably be the Wildcat with 20x Martlet Missiles
not realy an upgrade, more of an sidegrade, it just is a multipurpose head thats it
I couldnt find a confirming source for that. Some saids 11, some said 9 others 8. So Im guessing different versions of the same missile? But not sure. Though wouldnt surprise me either if gaijin just C&P them over from another variant of the Hellfire went “they are close enough” changed the name and left it at that without looking further. Might go ask over in the heli thread
Yeah, it could be that the regular K still had 8 km and the K2/K2A had higher ranges
That is what im suspecting
I’m surprised you lot haven’t been told to be quiet because you lot are having a conversation :P
(Not by a mod I mean)
