The Kurnass 2000 doesn’t get BVR missiles, but instead can carry six 9Ls or python-3s. With a better FM and electronics.

I’d happily ditch the dogshit base skyflashes for 9Ls like the Kurnass 2k
US phantoms get 7Fs, which are much better than 9Ls or anything the British phantoms carry.

Skyflash isn’t BVR. It’s only usable to about 3-4mi
Skyflash SuperTEMP is BVR, but again- only really good for 8-9mi
Compared to say, AIM7M or R27 who can kill at 15+mi, its nuts
But but SKYFLASH™ has inv monopulse seeker, so when conical gets added they will not get affected by it!

RB71 (DF), which is essentially a Skyflash is great
The fact the JA37C has it at 11.0 with a PD radar is quite recipe for stomping

but then at least they have the same Flight performance and Missiles it never carried which are the justification for a BR it shouldn’t be at

I fly against 12.0 constantly and my inability to do anything with that airframe Frustrates me enough to not play it at all

Probably related to the fact it gets paired with a decent radar.
It doesn’t like the ground reflection at all, but thats not unique
they loose lock randomly even the Targe does absolutely nothing to counter them
but that could also be the radars fault
Not that im aware, i get this both in spey phantoms and F3.
I get a suprising amount of 11.3 downtiers these days with it.
And against 12.0 its basically the JA37D except you have less flares and no all aspect IR missile. And with the buff of Aim-9J i see no need for the Aim-9L
it always ends with my Skyflash Missing and then getting dragged into a Dogfight by some F-16A which can Easily outturn it in a 2 Circle
The radar does get notched pretty easily, you have to consciously fly the aircraft to avoid accidental notching on some targets.
What type of the seeker does the R-27R and ER get? CS or IVMP
Germany gets a mig29…
