It didn’t remove the capability to use the R-27, it just didn’t use it. Already mentioned above.
In CAP (Combat Air Patrol), the MiG-29G was responsible for dogfighting and the F-4F ICE was responsible for BVR.
Anyway, there is no evidence that the German MiG-29 can use R-27ER/ET.

Anyway, the most important role of the MiG-29G was so that other NATO air forces could get experience fighting advanced Russian jets, which was impossible until 1991.

Nice addition as tank destroyer, i have sone doubt as AA platform since did not pass the army trial.
Furthermore there were no gap or space between the turret and the hull, by the photo of the wt model seems to me that there is a wide gap. I’m on ps5 so no access to dev server to check

Plus like i said before. It apparantly even have a HE-VT ammo. So i wouldnt mind if Gaijin did copy and paste of Leopard 40/70. One without HE-VT (this one) that would stay at 4.3, maybe 4.7 due to good mobility. And second with HE-VT which could be like 7.3 and higher.

I should stress that I’m talking about our Luftwaffe MiG-29s, which are early aircraft. They also removed the Laszlo data link and the SRO IFF before the aircraft were handed over to us, so in some respects we’re less capable than other contemporary MiG-29s. From what we hear the latest variants are almost a different aircraft. I’d like to see our aircraft get some of the updates being offered by MiG-MAPO. The more powerful engines, better radar, a new navigation system, a data link and an inflight refuelling probe. If we got the new ‘Alamo-C’ that would also be an improvement - even a two nautical mile boost in range is still ten more seconds to shoot someone else! We won’t get many of those improvements, though we are getting a new IFF manually selectable radio channels, and improvements to the navigation system, including the integration of GPS. Most of our aircraft will be able to carry two underwing fuel tanks, which will also help.
It was only a “suggestion” by MiG-MAPO to make the R-27E version available.
You can take away these missiles, but the problem will still remain that Germany does not have normal aircraft with normal weapons. And the company, accordingly, does not want to do this (Add aircraft), paying attention only to the USA and the USSR
