I Will disagree with this putting them at a higher br cuz of a new feature being added is kinda substancial since it Will still fight the same planes and helis and still has a Lot of weakness like helis behind terrains
There is the Stinger -RMP Block II which never made it to service which uses the seeker off the AIM-9R (AIM-9X) and as such is an IIR FPA so could sort of take advantage of the new mechanic.
to be fair the, strela missle is a lot stronger then the stinger one/ type 91 missle
then stinger vehicle needs to move down. Ozelot and lav atm are even higher than these vehicles despite beeing now weaker.
What would datalink bring to the table?

Incredibly optimized flight pattern for stingers aswell as better flight range of the missile

Would be cool if Gaijin could give it as a bandaid solution, though the IIR would vastly outperform the other systems, because it’s IR it works at longer distances and not to mention at night.
I think though it’s time for at least some of the manpads bug reports to get adressed. They have been in this nerfed state for so long now.
