Kings of Battle - Rumor Round-Up and Discussion (Part 1)

Yea it’s god for bid for Britain to get a nice top tier for once.

Honestly gaijin’s rules seems like it was made by a Ferengi :P
/S

Why am I getting into DS9 for ?

That I honestly don’t mind as long as Britain got something.
Btw that is still a Typhoon :) lol

Based upon what Criteria? They’d use the same weapons.

No chance in hell the F-15 would be anything but fitted with AMRAAM and thus post 2000s now. (and the main reason to add the F-15 would be to give Japan an AMRAAM carrier. If japan got AMRAAM on their F-15 so would US, and your whole, pre-2000 F-15 would be out the window)

Su-27 would have R-77s

J-10 would probably now be a later version with PL-12. But coudl also be a later jet added as well.

In terms of BR placement, Flight performance and loadouts. They are close enough that withholding the EF Typhoon is just stupid. And besides. @x_Shini made a good point. Britain can be slapped with ahistorical gripen or other commonwealth crap. But what does Germany get after the ICE? Or is that it for 2 years?

tbh if britain gets a better toy for a bit instead of US or USSR that’s ok in my book.
Mirage stomped 1 year ago, and after, what 2 years with phantoms and tornados only, that’d be fair imo

(Theres a reason i stopped playing the german tech tree after the 21MF, i realized that there was no future outside of what i could get everywhere else, and better.)

FGR2 was added in 2019.

AIM-7 is still being used on Israeli F-15s
for example and even in US service it was its main missile type for a long time.

Same as F-15. Early Su-27 carried R-27 almost exclusively. I’m pretty sure R-77 was only available in later Su-27 variants.

Yea almost 5 years ago

But if top tier is ARH dominated. Then the moaning about SARH vs ARH would be extreme. Look at Aim-9M and R-73 and thats relatively minor incomparison. From now on, I imagine most if not all “Top tier” jets will have ARH.

tbh I counted from the time the phantoms started becoming meh, so when mig23’s were added basically.

Su-27 cannot fire R-77s, full stop.
The first Su-27 to be able to fire R-77s is Su-27SM. Su-30 is the designated aircraft that came with R-77 capability.

F-15C was introduced in the late 1970s, with F-15J in service in 1981, no AMRAAMs to speak of.
F-15C doesn’t use the same weapons UNTIL the 2000s, and even then only export ones do. USA goes full-on AMRAAMs instead of both advanced IR & ARH missiles.
Germany gets Typhoon after F-4F ICE.

Ah, that’s true. So yeah, about 2 ish years. And whats worse. Tornado F3 added Q1 2022, around 6 months after the Mig-23MLD would have been great.

yup tornado was hilariously late

Take into account that early AIM-120A/B had worse range than late AIM-7 variants. It would make AIM-7 a pretty nice and balanced tradeoff for FOX-3 capability.

I think we are seeing a pattern here

So add Su-30 then. Still would be well and truly in the cards at this point.

tornado F3 was late 1980s, we could have gotten that version 2022. Instead we skipped to the 1995 ish version. Instantly. Why the Pre-2000 F-15s couldnt be skipped too is beyond me.

One rule for Germany, another For Britain. That either means Germany Gets Typhoon and Britain doesnt, or Germany is left with the ICE for the better of a year+

Prehaps, but only if they gave it to jets that needed it Sea Harrier FA2 with Aim-120Bs whilst all others still using Aim-7 or equivalent would be a really balanced solution. If Aim-120s were added to anything currently 12/12.3, then its GG and might as well skip ahead a few years

How long until f18 and a10c tho?

no clue about f18, but they could have added A10C together with the SU 39 lol

F-18 A or B could probably come soonish. Might even be what Britain gets via Canada.

A-10C, I can see being a Su-39 Premium equivalent anyday now
