Kh38. hammer - brimstone

Atleast brimstones can kill consistently, while mavs literally miss the target or do no damage at all

Considering you’re doing those evasive actions it’s logical you have enemy AA up, so targeting them first should be a smart idea.

Conveniently for you, those are often huge, slow trucks that can’t just easily hide from your AGMs.

True but being able to focus on one task at a time and not having to do a weird timing dance around the brimstones impact is worth much more than the increased lethality

Im interested as to where did you get that impression?

In terms of statcard, namely damage, only thing brimstones have over 65Ds is pen, but brimstones have 5x times less TNT equivalent than 65Ds. Clearly 65Ds do bigger boom and generate more spall.

Not sure about the Kh-38 but the AASM GNSS has a 40 km range against stationary targets. IRIS and the the other new multi vehicle SPAA aren’t very good at moving out of incoming missiles way, so tracking is only really needed for other vehicles.
-side note: if you really want to play sweaty you can use the laser/GNSS variant and launch from radar cover and then pop-up last minute and adjust final approach with laser

As for being non competitive… The new SPAA don’t intercept munitions very well, currently only the Pantsir can do that and you can over saturate it often.

I think hes talking about laser lock being more reliable than the mavs ir guidance when it comes to damage

fair enough, but still. you dont see LGBs being meta over Kh-38MTs or Hammers, despite LGBs being more precise.

Yeah it’s like I said above the increased reliability regarding damage is worth a lot less than being able to multitask more effectively with FnF weapons

Big boom right?

and brimstones with 5x times less TNT equivalent would fare better?

They probably would

in both videos youre launching at extremely close ranges for the BR you are at, meaning clearly the enemy team doesnt have BR appropriate AA up. Why not bring LGBs at that point?

They would because the Laser lock ensures a better hit but your first video shows why mavericks are still better, engaging multiple targets at the same time like that is impossible with brimstones

You wanna see how maverick went through a pantsir?

Do tell how much time is needed for those missiles to reach something 40km away ?
Moving away is pretty simple.

I have the swiss F18 no need to show me that Mavericks are unreliable but being able to FnF is still worth more than a slightly more guaranteed kill on a laser guided brimstone

Lol, in the first clip they clearly hit but did absolutely nothing, in the second it clearly pulled enough but absolutely missed XD

Atleast brimstones pull hard enough are 3x faster so u can kill and hide while with mavericks u need a clear sight and fly straight

them not hitting (likely due to gaijin spaghetti code), not doing any damage (definetively due to gaijin spaghetti code, one that would affect brimstoens all the same) and you starting your attack run at 7.5km range ( which is well within range of things like OSAs, not to mention Pantsirs or SLMs) without doing any defensive manuevers are two entirely different things.

and, as H_ngma_ said, you attacked multiple targets at once in the first vid, something you wouldnt be able with brimstones.

either A) you lauch them in same scenario you showed in your video, ie. completly uncontested airspace, and at that point Zunis or iron bombs would work just as well

or B) you are in contested airspace and then you got the two confused. with mavs you can kill and hide (since they are FnF) while with brimstones you need a clear line of sight and fly straight.

and with the brimstone you need to have a clear LOS twice and you can engage only 1 target at a time
