this some real fn shit
The issue is we needed CLAWS as a response to IR AGM carriers at minimum irrelevant of Kh-38MT being in-game or not.
The fact I could launch outside of all existing SPAA range and get 3 - 6 frags per sortie was not a balanced system.
Of course Kh-38MTs could do that as well.
They can’t use Classified data anyways. If we could, then sharing said documents wouldn’t be an issue.
They can, they just can’t use what we give them or share what they have used. Problem is the sharing, it basically means it’s up to gajin what they want to fix or not
that or a system capable of engaging multiple targets simultaneously.
like the pantsir. it could easily intercept munitions coming in. ofcourse everything has a minimum range. that issue has not and probably will never be fixed.
People sharing a bunch of classified documents on the official forum is very different from just reading a few values off of something privately and calling it a day.
Even more if they just use it to prove something was real.
Oh of course its different, except they can’t use it anyways. I don’t think Gaijin is dumb enough to risk everything just to get a single Air-To-Surface missile in the game when they can just make up its capabilities. Its not like they haven’t done that before (Panther II, Tiger 10.5, F-16AJ, etc.)
It is understandable that Gaijin time to time taps into experimental/prototype weaponry to fill a gap in nations capability.
It is probable that some prototype of KH-38 is being developed in case some customer shows interest in such guidance type, however why the gaijin decided that the one time use IR seeker on 38MT would exceed even dedicated targeting pods or FLIRS on contemporary attack helicopters is beyond me.
it is more likely that on one time use missile some lower resolution IR seeker would be used so if Gaijin gave it Gen2 resolution seeker it would me more balanced weapon and it would be more realistic in the same time.
But noo, lets make it OP because Russia has abundance of Gen3+ seekers so they can stuff it in to every missile.
Its the Vikhr situation all over again, it will take years, if ever, till the missile will be corrected to somewhat realistic performance, because in case of Russian weapons Gaijin tend to implement it in most optimistic way and then tune it down, while with NATO weapons it is other way around.
And no Russia does not suffer:
Prior the arrival of SLM Russia winrates were over 60%, and dropped to 50% after. My guess is that it will rise again once the BUK is introduced.
CAS harms win rates, as your simulator stats prove. The tech trees with CAS suffer win rate dips.
Simulator really nails it home that CAS does not help.
As for realistic battles:
SLM was added in June.
February: 49.4%.
March: 51.2%.
April: 52.8%.
May: 52.9%. Japan had the highest and Italy tied them.
June: 45.4%.
Japan, Italy, France, Sweden, and Israel had the highest in June. Coincidentally no meta CAS anymore.
It’s pretty much trivial to not get caught accessing such documents.
On the other hand, you can’t just handwave bunch of classified leaks being published on your own forum.
Anyways, you as an end user can’t really know what information they have access to and what exactly was used to make something happen in the game. They made a whole thread about sharing stuff like that to discourage users from doing something dumb, while at the same time distancing themselves from those instances.
Remember, NDA’d documents are not the same as restricted or classified documents.
NDAs can and do exist just to keep information in control of the corporation.
They want clients to pay THEM for access to the information, they don’t want clients to get information from companies that aren’t them.
So that’s why IR Hammer’s seeker is still vastly overperforming when it comes to it’s track range ?
Really interesting.
Simulation
By the way, these are WRs for February, so long before SLM arrived and RU was far away from dominating.
That makes no sense.
Western AGMs aren’t anything special so I doubt they’re the reason RU has such a bad WR now, so BUK is hardly going to help with the real problem, which is their ground units being average in performance.
SLM made it much harder to spam 38Ms, so it’s pretty logical why their WRs took a hit.
They literally often point directly to documents they reference;
- Fox, Scimitar — a bug that caused a penalty to the rotation speed of the manually rotated turret when the battery was damaged has been fixed. Source: Fox User Handbook.
- 75 mm M61 shell, 76 mm M62 shell — explosive mass has been reduced from 68 g to 65 g. Sources: TM 9-1901 Artillery ammunition, 29 June 1944; Catalogue of Standard Ordnance Items, Second Edition 1944, Volume 3, 1 March 1944.
- AMX-13 (all variants) — the thickness of the upper plate has been reduced from 20 mm to 15 mm. Sources: Char croiseur de 12 tonnes AMX, 1948; ‘Notice Descriptive de la Famille 13 Tonnes AMX’, Jan 1965, DEFA.
- M10 (all variants) — lower fuel tanks near the engine have been added. Source: TM 9-752 - 1943 - Gun Motor Carriage M10.
- M1 Abrams (all variants) — ammo capacity for the 12.7 mm machine gun has been reduced from 1000 to 900 rounds. (Report ). Sources: Marine Corps Tank Employment; TM 9-2350-255-10 Draft Technical Manual. Operator’s Manual for Tank, Combat, Full-Tracked.
- Kh-29 (all variants) — a limitation on allowed missile release speed of M1.5, which was erroneously missing, has been added. Source: «Авиационная управляемая ракета класса «воздух-поверхность» Х-29» МАИ.
But then how would a interested party find out that said document even existed? Surely a tile and / or which archive was used would surely be beneficial to reveal.
Now tell me how will you know they pointed to literally everything they used ?
They rarely, if ever, point to the documents they used to add something in the game.
Someone interested in 38MT would already be aware of stuff like prototype pictures/brochures, so a simple inquiry to people responsible for that missile would be enough.
Sure, for things in production are fairly obvious, but what about defunct companies or prototypes.
Find out who purchased the documents of the defunct company and go to them.
Welcome to the rabbit hole that is information research.
U assume gaijin does that 😭
Really tracking angle on a glide bomb ? That is absolutly game breaking …
However…
- AGM-65 is missing quite a bit of its kinematic performance from begining
- AGM-65D had wrong seeker FOV for years.
- AGM-114 has wrong flight profile from begining
- Hellfire, PARS, Spike, Maverick are missing their top attack profiles
Yes only mode where is it Russia vs all other nations (Except china) combined. IMO it is more representing than RB when win rates are affected by nations teamed with Russia in that particular battle.
Global stat 57% says it all despite some drops in certain months.
52% is bad ?
BUK will reduce maneuver space for BLUE airforce which is also part of the shield against KH-38 spammers. SLM alone won’t cut it.
