Is this rocket assisted? Because this is a free fall guided bomb! You need to take of and fly relatively high to make them arrive on target!
SLM got heavily buffed in range for dev.
SLAMRAAM and Spyder obviously exist as well.
@LoSpilotoITA
Bomb lobbing is something done in DCS at low altitude behind hills for safety, and something I’ve done a couple times in War Thunder myself.
Safety without needing range.
If one side is assumed to have a jet spawned, it’s only fair to assume other side has one as well. Game doesn’t stop anyone from spawning a jet.
Russia always regularly have jets first, they spawn a 2S38 cap a point/get a kill and then spawn a fully loaded Su-30/34
No they really can’t.
All current AAs struggle to counter FnF helicopters, let alone jets.
No one stops you from doing exactly the same.
That’s true except Britain dont have a good light tank and a Typhoon can’t defeat half a team on it’s own.
This isn’t RU vs UK, there are 8 other nations with some great light tanks and planes.
If KH-38 spammers are resorted to airfield camping and spamming, people should naturally start spawning more CAP of their own to farm those easy kills.
Man, one thing is taking off and toss bombing another thing is doing it from the airport! If you take off and exit from the airport AA coverage you can be intercepted by another aircraft, if you sling the Kh-38 from 10 meters above your airport nothing can counter you!

This is just not true, GNSS bombs need to be lobbed and because of that have a shallow angle of attack which makes it easy to spot and intercept. This is also taking into the fact they are bombs which travel very slow.
The Hammer fixes some of these problems however they are slow which results into spaa having no issue with intercepting them.
The KH38 fixes all these problems and the only downside is from how gnss functions. With a teammate feeding your coordinates of static targets, you can reliably hit them. where as with other gnss munitions, there is a high chance of it either missing, or getting intercepted.
We’ll have to see how effective it is once the live server gets updated, but from doing testing with friends on custom servers, it has really great potential.
You don’t need to tell me that, I’m fighting for TO mode for years now and I pretty much want to enjoy tanks without any aerial pests as much as anyone else.
I’m just telling you how the game works as of now, so if they’re spawning planes to camp and spam missiles from their airfield, you spawn a plane of your own to sweep them up and get easy kills. Once they get clubbed like that too many times, they might stop doing it altogether.
im just gonna play air rb.
I’m not quite sure what you’re banging on about, I was talking about how the optomatic and the heavily nerfed ADATS are expected to defend against the horrifc KH-38 spam, which is only going to get worse with the new update.
But good job I guess?
Also Kh-38MT is currently OP on live server because lack of SPAA.
No, it’s OP because of several factors creating a perfect storm :
- The hillariously overmodelled IR seeker it has
- It’s speed
- It’s warhead
Even the iris-t is going to be able to do precisely nothing about it, because they can fire as soon as they spawn while the missile has travel time.
I’m gonna be blunt. These weapons and ones like it have no place in the game and were a terrible mistake by gaijin. I would fully support their removal from GRB as, quite frankly, the situation with air in GRB is ridiculous.
I wished things were different regarding tanks vs CAS, but they aren’t.
Ye JDAMs are fun. LJDAMs are much much better tho. Sadge its only 500lb
GPS on kh38 is is major buff. Its like having to laser guided bomb and laser + GPS bomb. If u ask me theres a very significant difference between these 2. Same with kh38. GPS also improves “locking time” on missiles
Either way I’ll still be using GPS bombs next major.
Finally I can feel the rush of avoiding SPAA again for the first time since mid 2022.
I would not bother replying to Alvis; they are a very pro-anything Russian vehicle person who has stated that the 2s38 is very balanced and not comparable to the HSTV-L, while also claiming that a higher rate of fire is not an important attribute for a vehicle’s ability to kill. In terms of the KH-38, it really does not need this buff. Sure, it may have a smaller warhead than bombs, but it is much faster than any other air-to-ground ordinance in the game and can be fired from an airfield, which is a major game changer. Furthermore, if Gaijin does add this, then there really isn’t much reason not to add the 114L, which will be a slow missile and still require the Apache to expose itself mostly.
Yea… Good luck with that. Flying high will make ur bombs intercepted easily flying low will make u to get closer. My poor A10C 😭
Please use OTOMATIC, it’s the real name
