it says it acts more like AP-I in another post from Rheinmetall even tho they have PMC283 FAPIDS-T incendiary round, and here is the thing it has numerous tungsten fragments inside like ahead ammo but its meant against lightly armored targets so we can conclude its an ammo similar to AHEAD but against lightly armored targets only
even better, if youve seen how the gepards API rounds shred BMP’s, youll love this too
yeah its pretty much like gepard API so taking all this in count it should have around 50 or 55 mm pen since its a 30mm unlike gepard 35 plus its not really an API, it dosent have explosive like gepard, and now that i think about it AHEAD ammo would be the first “fragmentation” kinda like aphe, shell that would explode without having explosive mass if they coded it correctly in war thunder
yeah exactly, so if they encoded non explosive APHE fragmentation alongside APCR, thats probably what AHEAD would be.
and if we get FAPDS, thatll give us options.
but i would rather just get FAPDS for gepard and ahead for PUMA
btw gaijin forgor to model extra skirts below ERA and NERA that go under the armor package (PUMA without any armor package)

funny enough did you know that the "HE-VT"for the 2s38 isnt supossed to be HE-VT?, its supossed to work like the PUMA AHEAD (time fuse) but of course since its russian and they havent made a feature to make time fuse more consistant well now its HE-VT even tho they obviously didnt want to make PUMA HE-VT because “it would be too op and its not reallistic”
