Your missile normaly goes for the target you shoot at if it goes for a teamate it is your fault because you shoot the missile so that the teamate went through the FOV of the missile this normaly happens when you don’t take care of your teammates and shoot your missile of when its likely that it goes for our teamate because he chases the enemy too
Go over to the official post and read through the comments from yesterday evening, it really got to the point where people will tell that they are basically perfect players, never TK anyone because they shoot their missiles either never or only when there is n omore friendlies left (I assume).
As little of a fan of Gaijin as I am, I am almost hoping to see these folks work themselves up so much that Gaijin adds to the length of the bans for their forum posts. They are already toxic enough in game to get a timeout, why do the forums need punished with their “remove the ability to TK” spam
Would you rather have the one whos causing more problems ram a person down for the sake of it or 2 people who have intentions of teamkilling teamkill? 4 players.
I would rather watch idiots who teamkill (which both rammers and shooters have been banned) get an extended vacation from the game… a very extended vacation…
not mine, but please watch this and then tell me again how it is the players fault:
So what you are saying is you deserved to get banned?
Thanks for clearing that up
We would call you a stickler and no this is not an insult it means you’re a strict rule-follower. Which means You refuse to accept Interpretation, flexibility, and so on. If it’s written on paper then it should be followed to the book.
Problems with this, it means everyone including yourself would be considered in the eyes of said rules are not innocent. Simply guilty by default with no exceptions cause the rules don’t know what that is.
Then should have no problem.
I saw someone shooting AMRAAM at an ennemy i was about to kill (so he was 15-20 km away, i was at 0.8km behind a maneuvering target)
And he took the shot, which ended up blowing me instead (after the guy died).
He excused himself, but said that the missile get crazy → no, it wasn’t, the missile did it’s purpose.
And that’s why many people get banned, even if doing a Good shooting job, they’re not Assessing the situation before shooting,… which leads to unwanted TK.
With more thinking, we could have less unwanted TK.
I don’t blame the guy, as often the User Interface is Blowing away the allies to priorise the display of ennemies,… but that’s the mentality of US Police
“shoot first, question asked once everyones dead”
Also you’re not talking of intentionnal TK as Author do.
Yup… and if I TK’d enough to get a temp ban (like all the people crying about it) I would shrug, own it, and move on with my life. I try to respect as best I can the rules that have been laid out by a service that I use, unlike quite a few which have been (appropriately) called out, and are calling themselves out.
Interpretation from Gaijin by Gaijin have been several times,…
“No questions asks, a TK is a TK” - Gaijin
So either you make sure you hit nobody of your team (i do that, i might TK like once in a year)
Or you’ll get banned from your will to interprate things differently which is from a User, and not the Game authority.
Apparently Tking even once from years ago puts your account at risk. Aka the entire WT population.
No,… the rules were explainned in a previous post, and the TK from years ago are erased from the automatic database.
- inform yourself better -
It does… but it isnt (nor has it in the past) ever been a system where you TK once and it just throws you into a ban pool. You have to make a habbit of it to be punished, and by the amount of names (some of which I recognize) on the ban list, it wasnt an “Oops, sorry I shot you down” situation for them being on the list.
Ive got my fair share of accidental TK’s, and I haven’t been banned.
I would assume that Gaijin is able to identify between an accidental and an intentional, probably by way of most accidental TKs are unlikely for people to report, but clearly intentional ones are going to generate reports against that player.
The only way people are going to get banned from accidental tks is if they are somehow doing it like 20 times a week.
After a certain point, it becomes just gross negligance.
pretty much, I can see it being somewhat common if all you play is jet ARB because missiles are sometimes just weird, but even then you’d have to be taking a lot of high risk missile launches with teammates around before I imagine gaijin starts investigating.
I agree. I play a good bit of high to top tier air rb and i hardly ever tk with weird missiles.
People must be spamming missiles with no regard.
It is no different than in props when someone will sit right behind their own teammate trying to shoot through them to get the kill. At least something is finally being done
