Is there some documentation on the type 16 referring to its turret traverse speed? I know there’s the type 10’s which claims at least 30 degrees/sec, but is there one for the type 16?
Who do we need to forget about it? Having a tank that is permanently stuck in zoom because for some reason the lower magnification isn’t implemented doesn’t sound like something worth forgetting about.
1x commander sights are actually implemented funnily enough. a easy example is type 74s, why they cant just do that for gunner sights though, is beyond me.
They won’t do x1 because of gameplay reasons or whatever but having a top tier vehicle be stuck with an FOV of 7 is silly.
Abrams has an FOV of 25, Leopard of 19, Russia 28, UK 19, China 25… even Italy who is a complete joke in this game has 9, but they get commander thermals with 30, and it’s gen 2.
Putting this vehicles at 11.0 purely because they have an autoloader that helps a bit to negate it’s lack of everything else is already a stretch before making them look through a toiletpaper roll.
Situational awareness is night and day with a Type 90 vs anything else.
Also the round on the type 16s is wrong considering the newer rounds would have been in service for multiple years before the type 16s production
Also why can’t Japan get tier 1 APFSDS and instead has to grind to tier 3 in the Type 90/TKX to get JM33 whilst other nations can get equivalents at tier 1, not having more than one APFSDS option shouldn’t punish them.
Its typical for tanks with only one type of apfsds. Another example is the m1a1 aim. Iirc, the type 90 is the very reason why gaijin moved to the stock heat formula before switching back to rank 8 tanks getting baseline apfsds.
Swedish tanks btw don’t face this issue. They receive dm13 stock regardless, because the sweds don’t use heat for whatever reason.
Im wondering if its possible to mimic 1x sights with a close value like 1.1x zoom. Could be interesting to see in a custom model but i have no idea how to make those.
Unless of course, 1x sights arent made because they don’t want that zoom level in game.
this will never stop being funny to me
Insane they reverted the stock HEATFS garbage for top tier but still leaves the lower rank to deal with it, now the issue is even worse as they now how to fight ful uptiers with it, whilst any protection against HEATFS is irrelevant when they get it stock.
M1A1’s get M829 in tier 1 at least, which is better than what Japan gets at tier 3… just dumb.

If Gaijin only wants to do x3, then make it x3, I don’t really see why we have to get stuck with a 7 degree FOV in a tank that’s already questionable at 11.0.
The aim used in my example, has KE-W as its sole apfsds, at tier 3
Yeah, but isn’t that a squadron vehicle and not a TT vehicle
Yes, however, I don’t know any other tanks that have the rank 3 apfsds treatment.
Also other nations tanks such as abrams, leopards, and t80bvms, have very high vertical targeting speeds. Back when I tried getting information, I asked smin and he only responded with Gun stabilizer - War Thunder Wiki. I assume according to said article, that the high vertical targeting speeds is to mimic stabilization
Currently a stabilizer on specific tanks is simulated with a generic high vertical guidance (elevation) speed on the gun… but still this does not provide a real simulation of stabilizer and fire control systems. After the introduction of the accurate stabilizer simulation, the vertical guidance speed on specifically equipped vehicles will be reduced to real life values.
However tanks such as the challenger and type 10 have the so called real life value.
Unfortunately, using that discrepancy for a bug report doesn’t work.
It did lead to funny posts on reddit complaining when the 10 degree/sec vertical traverse for leopards was acknowledged
Type 10 gun.
This is a diagram of the dimensions of the main gun mounted on a Type 90 tank.
Anyone going to make this a suggestion? Be a nice 3.7 Br Premium with a cost of 1,150 GE or regular TT to start a 3.7 line up and useful to support the 4.3+ Br.
This looks incredible lol +1
Yes, it shouldn’t take long to model since the M24 and Type 64 ATM already exist in game. Just gotta slap them together, re-adjust/add some things aaaand walaa.
