That might be true, but at least other nations can deal with average CAS, unlike Italy or Japan right now.
It was a premium account.
I’ve dropped that down to less than 4 or 5 weeks on 3 hours a day, but my first attempt was rather efficient.
Japan’s tech tree treated me well, and it houses many of my favorite vehicles.
Sadly, I cannot be upset at no SPAA because my only SPAA is a Tunguska and boy was that shafted.
So I doubled down on tanks and aircraft.
Especially since I very much do come across smart CAS players, Maxi.
@MAUSWAFFE
No objections.
I mean, they could always just fix MANPADS if they wanted.
But that would mean they’d have to stop protecting the precious Ka-50 whales from IR missiles.
Manpads were all once 10Gs.
Research takes time, and Stingers will get buffed to ~20gs when the research & implementation is finished from the sole historical report that was only reported this year.
It’s not the Gs, it’s the range at which you can actually lock. Recently I had to get within 1km of a Huey on Cargo Port. (I’ll try to dig the replay)
That does leave the question why research takes so long compared to equivalents in other nations that have been added over 4 years ago.
Of course planes will always perform better as anti-CAS than SPAA, but they are also way more expensove to spawn. Even then the Type 81 C could provide a rather cheap yet still sufficient way of dealing with CAS, both with IR and ARH missiles, the latter with a range of 14km, more than enough for current engagements.
Because the domestic option Japan has does not have an integrated search radar, and the backup controls for the system aren’t obvious. Since using Type 81 on its own is us using its backup systems.
Worry not, we not gonna get anything
Anybody knows at what br is thy new type 10 on the devserver?
11.0
Yes i was notified, i reported the wrong smoke grenade 7 months ago

Those vehicles had 66mm grenades, but the actual caliber is 76mm.
Nice.
The transmission is supposed to be placed in front of the engine, so that model seems to be the reverse of the front and rear.

Bruh moment…
Recent news points towards plans for existing Japanese vehicles to receive major upgrades
maybe type 10 could be upgraded to type 10 improved now with armor as good as the M1A2 SEPV2 or Leopard 2A7 and a new aps, all of this was already said by japan that they plan on constantly improving the type 10
a picture of the APS planned for the type 10
Yes not only is armor upgrades part of the research but seems like there is also priority on top attack missile defense and drone defense according to the articles, mainly due to the effects of those weapons in the Ukraine war. So it’s interesting to see what they will do.
Whats more interesting is that it might not just be the Type 10 but also other vehicles. We’ll probably see more information in the coming month/years.
that is been known some years ago but it was brought up again by the minstry of the self defense forces of japan due to how the ukraine war its developing making them reiterate on the fact that they need a way of defending agaist drones and missiles and that is why the new APS system project has been accelerated by japan in order to equip their tanks with a domestic APS to fight off this new threats, we know for a fact that the type 10 has a 48 ton configuration wich its able to use composite on the side and on the roof to protect agaist 30mm autocannon fire and top attack missiles or drones we just dont know their exact armor value
