The case of Yak-38 is very rare. If he uses the VTOL mode even once, he becomes a massive heat signature himself, as the engines for VTOL are activated.
I don’t know how it is currently, but in the months since Yak-38/Harrier GR.1 was implemented in the game, I have been able to launch at head on against the Yak-38 with my AIM-9B/R-3S, PL-2.
IR missiles perform better when fired down at your target from high altitude. They also hit more often. If you fly higher, you only need to worry about radar missiles.
the issue with Su-39 it’s fat and slow and limited for only 2 R-73 I wish if I never bought it.
Gajin could Add the R-27ER or R-77 for it and its missing systems and move it for higher Br but at the moment it’s not that good also R-73 IRCM works at 1.5km! it’s easy to kill the Su-39
everything out speed it so easy to kill never had issue with killing it !
A-10C way better because it has HMD and advance MAW system but slower + 4 aim 9ms !
No, it doesn’t. That’s literally the Tomcat’s specialty. It could do 7.5G sustained at high altitudes high speeds which is more than any 4th or 4.5 gen.
Decompression and Br change would help a lot , I understand that Su39 and other IRCCM jet that you face are unfair. Because in a sense they are but you also have to take in the fact that some of them are strike aircraft and they having piss poor AF not helping. So moving them up or down would just break more
Such advanced missiles are the only means of defense for strike aircraft. They’re slow and have limited maneuverability, so it’s fair. If you don’t want to get a rocket in your face, fight the fighters. If you want to feast on the fat carcass of the A-10C, get ready to dodge the missiles.
You can look at my stats, I’m a SIM player too, I know what I’m talking about.
The SU-25SM3 was at 12.7 and it didn’t work, later planes didn’t need to approach to kill it, so it had no way to defend itself.
Moreover, when talking about the SIM, mentioning that the plane can meet with opponents at -1.0 BR looks like a manipulation.
