Japanese type 87 RCV (P) unusable in current balance due to very weak modeled 20mm HVAP

I think you should read my comment more carefully.

Is the vidar a light tank? Its also famously the subject of many complaints about it being undertiered

The same gun with the same stabiliser is 8.7 on the xm800t so yeah, lower your expectation of a 7.7 light tank

Type 24 ICV (P) ammo rack // Gaijin.net // Issues

i ll add this tho

what is the bug you are reporting? because your bug report is kinda useless, you just copied a paragraph from the old wiki, and complained about russian bias, like of course its gonna get ignored, you dont even explain what the issue is?

Comparing the VIDAR to the RCV P is still valid, no of course it is not a light tank but that is not the point at all.

The point is balance; and solely stating that a certain br for an OP vehicle should mean that other vehicles within that BR bracket that are worse can’t compare, is wild. The VIDAR’s modifications are an offset to other weaknesses, although those weaknesses are significant, the RCV has no modifications to offset a lot of weaknesses.

It results in terrible gameplay.

oh so i guess it doesnt have a stabiliser (which is one big thing that does offset a lot of weaknesses, considering unstabilised that gun is from like 6.0) and as a light tank it has scouting which offsets the weakness of not being able to kill some things so you just scout them and run away.

My guy just stop, a stab is only useful if you can kill someone, by that logic if a vehicle only offensive weapon was a 7.62 mg that was stabilized, that stabilizer offsets it’s lack of effectiveness.

Also scouting doesn’t do anything for you, just gives you a tiny amount of lions per kill (which is rare tbh) and that’s it. It’s the reason why vehicles with 20mm hvap stock grind is so hard, your only form of xp gain is from capping, and tracking people to get assists.

Thank you, valid, and exactly my point, I could not have said it better

no because a 20mm can actually take out barrels and tracks pretty easily, a 7.62 cant, its not that hard to figure out especially since a stabiliser lets you take out said barrels and tracks a lot easier

it gives you activity which considering time played is the main way to gain rp counts for a lot, especially since scouting takes near zero effort so you can still go around taking barrels and tracks and killing other light tanks to get kills, sure with the hvap youre gonna have a bad time but after you get the apds there is very little (basically only heavy tanks) that you cant kill or heavily cripple

There is no ammo protection in that tank, the wiki says it´s ammo (turret) it´s protected. I added a video as reference.

your bug report is very unclear about that, you dont even say that at all in your bug report

if u believe using this tank as an actual light tank is a good idea u’re quite wrong.

the best thing u can do is focus on taking down airplanes or helicopters since all the tanks that use that specific HVAP-T shell use the same 20mm used in SPAAs.

u can also use it against tanks, but u must only take care of extremely light tank and from the side, tho u can take down soviet MBTs too, but that requires skills.

I downloaded the thingy

no, i understand what youre complaining about but you cant complain about your bug reports getting ignored when

  1. you dont explicitly mention what the problem you are reporting is
  2. you dont describe the way to reproduce the issue (however basic those steps are)
  3. youre actively complaning about the bug report managers in a bug report

also the type 24 and type 87 rcv are two different tanks

i mean once you get the apds that all kinda goes out the window, you can murder nearly anything from the side and most lighter tanks from anywhere

Thanks for the suggestion. I ll see how to update it

stares in IS-4M

yeah the xm800t was lucky to go up to 8.7 away from the heavy tank brs tbh
