Not soon enough
Hellfire do accelerate quicker than the JAGM but the JAGM will quickly catch up and surpass the hellfire. The difference is larger the farther it gets. This is mainly because of the sustainer.
A benefit that not many talk about is the agility of the JAGM. Because of the sustainer, you are able to move your missile however you like without the worry of it loosing energy and missing the target. The hellfire struggles with this a lot.
The only downside the JAGMs have is it’s damage output but since it gets the heavy heat preset, it does sufficient damage though not as much as the Hellfires.
If the JAGM gets it’s proxy warhead, it’ll arguably be on the same level on the vikhrs if not better in some areas.
It should stay where it is in BR, instead add a late AH-1Z if you want JAGM.
Thing is that with hellfires you typically don’t fire them from the furthest range possible because its well within SPAA range so its pointless.
If you fire them from around 4km away from target (closest heli base, where i see most helis spawn) it takes about 10 to 15 seconds to land, assuming you try to shoot a JAGM from max range (15-16km) with a constant speed of 300 m/s thats 50 seconds to target, which goes back to what i said in my earlier comment.
Also if they were to add the SAL JAGMs i bet you they’re increasing its BR by like .3 at least, despite them being a sidegrade at best, so again at that point just throw in the IR version and bump it up to 13.0.
Nah
Why not?
true but shooting them at 4-5km is risky considering how capable 12.0 spaa is. I did some testing so around 4-5km both missiles reach the target around the same time. So with the pros the JAGM brings to the table, it out weight the very few things hellfire brings.
But at the end of the day it’s your preference. For me after spending time with both, I prefer the JAGM hands down
the JAGMs allow for you to fire 7+km effectively. The “pop up, fire though INS, go down, and pop back up to guide the missile to the target” tactic works really well with this agm compared to the hellfires.
The people who say that it would warrant a .3 br increase don’t play hellfire platforms and if they do, it’s in arcade where you will be facing little threats.
But if Gaijin listens to people who actually play them, they would realize that 12.0 hellfire platforms is over br’d or the Ka52 is under br’d. I have yet talk to someone who has played both platforms argue that they are equivalents.
You could lump in all 64D with the 64A because there is very little tangible benefit going to the 64D
I personally think that the best way to handle this would be adding the SAL JAGMs to the AH-64D, Hellfire II’s to the 64A, and JAGM IRs to the Viper.
Keep the BR for the 64’s as is and up the Viper to 13.0 as an alternative to the 64E.
Potentially the Viper could then receive a few extra upgrades to turn it into the actual top dog, like 9Xs and LDIRCM.
Fair
Is it able to use LDIRCM, it thought it was a similar system to the ka52?
DAIRCM, is a laser DIRCM system
Has someone done a bug report on it getting aim9x?
yes, iirc there is an accepted one
How long ago was it accepted? I would understand why they haven’t added it if it was a long time ago but now i feel like it’s time, the claws has 4 aim9x ii an ah1z should atleast have the aim9x.
I mean if the ah1z gets 16 jagm-MR (ir) 2 aim9x and DAIRCM thats the best heli in game(according to me)
The FLIR on the ah1z is genuinely fantastic. 3.4x-83.7x and gen 3 thermals compared to ah64e with only gen 2. In the ah1z you can actually see good and make out what targets are alive and what are dead.
the handling on the Ah-1z is so much more better in my opinion imo. I don’t drop like a brick the moment I bring down my collective
Also it looks a gorbillion times cooler than the Apache which, in my opinion, is just straight up ugly as fuck.
The Marines have way cooler rotary wing platforms than the army. Except for the Blackhawk, that one is special.
I think both look awesome, but everyone has their own opinion
The Apache isn’t really ugly imo but the 1Z is just so much better looking
Given that all of the other AH-64Es were just added to the dev, some of which are going to nations that already have F&F 13.0 helis, I would insist that the AH-1Z be upgraded as the US’s 2nd option.
China and France already had F&F helis, the former both getting new missiles for a pre-existing heli (BA-11s for the Z-10ME) as well as a new Guardian.
As a side note, a Polish AH-64E for Germany and a Greek one for Italy would be cool, given the UHT’s lack of a gun, the AH-129s mediocre Spikes and the maximum amount of missiles being 8 for both.
I couldnt find one, so it might still exist but may be worth making a new report
