JA37DI Discussion

That’s a funny looking viggen for a tech tree image.

Why gajin call this name ? 🤔

Personally, not bad the early aircraft premium pack rank 8 for sweden tech tree

Awesome! Hopefully the tech tree one also gets some more camouflages with the drop of the update

answered in R&R:

I wish we cold get more Jaktviggen camos. Not necessarily fully historical to the model. I’d be fine with some of these JA37D/C camos being added to the Di model:

This is my favourite :) Unlocked it through a crate for my 37C

Make a suggestion for it, unfortunately unless it russia or the US they tend to not bother adding camos

Im gonna be pretty sad if we get yet another grå viggen, idk im kinda tired of gaijin not bothering to add camos to nations aside from Russia and America.

I’ll wait for them to go on market (since Black Knight camo is denied to be coming to Di)

Yeah, Neither of the new Viggens, Premium and TT, show any Data link channels on their radars.

Just for funsies, I’ll provide some additional information on the aircraft seen in-game.

The specific aircraft we have in-game is from the F 21 Norrbottens flygflottilj (Norrbotten Air Wing), more specifically from the 1. Division of F 21. This division (formal designation 211. spaningsflygdivisionen, callsign Urban Röd at that time). Urban Röd’s insignia is the wolf in a red letter U. In this U is written “Akktu Stakki”, translated as “Lone Wolf”.

Interestingly, however, I haven’t found any formal indication that Urban Röd ever used the JA 37 in any variant as my information designates Urban Röd as a reconnaissance squadron at the time, seemingly supported by the formal designation having the “spaning-” (“reconnaissance”) prefix.

I think Urban Röd might not be the actual unit the aircraft belonged to but rather the pilot, doing some demonstration flying maybe?

Really thats kinda dumb, are any camos planned for the TT or is it just another plain viggen? Boring and very typical for them to not bother with swedish camos, yet theyll add 40 camos to any US or Russian jet.

That idk

Welp great to know i can skip this viggen for about 2 years and see if its even in a slightly playable state when its fighting F22’s at 14.0 lmao

i make the bug reports!

Other camos I’d like to see in game:

If it was russian or american it would have 3 unique camos

Now, I may be in a minority here, but I don’t really care much for camos, let alone unique ones. I am more interested in having more decals at our disposal to “make our own” Viggens, see my suggestion on adding Swedish Air Force Divisional Insignia. I’d be quite content having just the metallic and the woodland camos and then be able to build upon those with divisional insignias and numbers.

that and increasing number of slots for decals

I kinda wish naval and aircraft got more decal slots, tanks too but i assume you have too many players making all black camos with them so they limit it
