-The guy who loves to be publicly embarrassed.
We get it if you like that stuff man, just keep it out of here.😄
I also love how you refuse to respond to any actual argument points anymore. It’s like trying to have a conversation with a kid.
EDIT: Just saw looking through your post history you said AIM-120’s are worse than Sparrows. Wow!
Why am I not shocked?

Well duh, AIM 7s are on almost every single American vehicle from Rank 7-9 (minus F-5 and Harrier), while the AIM 120s are only on a select few vehicles in Rank 8 and 9.
Let’s see.
Cons: Only gets very few missiles, cannot sustain itself in a turn, no energy retention, massive silhouette, can be taken out with a single cannon round at almost every part of the jet, massive engine which makes flares counterintuitive, slow cooling period, low flare count, lack of CAS (beyond rocket pods, which are not impressive).
Pros: P Diddy
Let me guess, you are reading the Old Wiki on information about the Viggen, or you are watching old videos from like 2023 about “The Viggen Is Sweden’s Most OP Jet!” with a thumbnail with a massive red arrow and circle.

It’s true, it’s a very powerful fighter at BR 11.3, but at the same time it’s severely limited by having only two Skyflash missiles. At BR 11.7 with its current loadout, it would be at a bit of a disadvantage, especially since it doesn’t have the all-spec (L) version of the AIM-9 missiles to fall back on, but rather the significantly inferior AIM-9J.
In my opinion, a real oversight on Gaijin’s part is the F-104S/TAF at BR 11.3—how on earth is it at that BR? I think all fighters at BR 11.0 are better than it…
Besides, Gaijin should implement a slightly more intelligent matchmaking system. For example, when playing a BR 12.0 aircraft, ~22–25 out of 30 battles are against full up-tier opponents… That’s just unfair; only BR 14.3–14.7 are the least affected because they can hold their own in any matchup (the exception is the J-15T with EOL status due to the 48CM).

The only reason the F-104 is that high is because people use it to base bomb (since it is more effective than the AMX), and Gaijin justifies their BR changes by SL/RP gain.

letting you know that rb24j are actually aim9p-3, but because gaijin for some reason hasnt modeled them in, theyre just basic aim9p
The F-104’s in general (besides the F104A) are sad to play.
Some of them are at 10.7 with no CM whatsoever and with 4 9J’s. I can’t remember if it’s the Japanese one or not, but it gets only 2 9J’s.
They desperately need rebalancing. Every single one of them needs flares and at least the 4 9J’s (the 10.3-11.0 ones) and all of them need to be at 10.7. The later F-104’s (the TAF and ASA) need to go down in BR. The ASA only carries 9L’s and while it can carry Aspides, it loses its gun doing that.
They used to be good. I played the German F104 quite a bit when it was 10.7 and it was great. Then, they moved it up and it regularly fights Mig-23’s and Phantoms.

What’s the difference? All aspect seeker?
Wake up in the morning feeling like Pulse Doppler (hey what up, girl?)
I’d ignore him at this point. A fellow chap has pointed out to me that he has been like this for years. He isn’t worth conversing with in any manner, and we can have this discussion about the Viggen’s BR with people who have sane and rational opinions.

I’m just having fun, because he is still crying about PD

Can be radar slaved, that’s the only difference it wt

Might as well. Devs hate the Swedish air branch, so making it obvious to us how little they care about us would make giving up easier.

i dont know about the seeker head itself, but its also meant to have a new smokeless motor, some sort of avionic upgrade and a active optical fuse.

Lol I mean… I’ve never lost to an F-4E nor should a smart pilot… Better FM, IR’s and Radar? You have every advantage to take an F-4E down before it pressures you back
Not really
Because they are 9Ps instead of 9Js? Whooptie doo
Only matters in specific cases involving you trying to do top down attacks
F-4E has an impressive FM, M61 vulcan, 2 more AIM-7E2s, and a better rwr while remaining similar in playstyle

“They have better IR Missile, we have AIM-9J, but they have AIM-9P!”
Hmmmm… this sounds similar to
“They have better ARH missile, we have AIM-120A, but they have AIM-120B!”
When both AIM-9J and P/ AIM-120A and B are practically the same in this game…
How about removing AIM-9M from top rank US jet and give them AIM-9P instead?
HI ‘J’ KL ‘M’ O ‘P’
If AIM-9P is better IR than AIM-9J, then probably AIM-9P is even better than AIM-9L/M

not THE strongest, but it certainly is up there with the F-4Es.
Yeah? 9P’s have a genuine advantage over 9J’s, radar slaving. FM is 100% superior unless you’re an absolute troglodyte that bleeds your energy in the first turn. I am an F-4E/Kurnass spammer and if you put those 2 jets alongside a JA37C, I am picking the Viggen and winning easily 90% of those engagements and so will anyone else with a fully developed frontal lobe lol… I’m not saying the Phantom is bad, I love it to bits but the Viggen can do everything it does but with a stronger FM and radar. less flares, less energy retention but that’s the tradeoff for an airplane that can shoot first and kill more effectively with its RB71’s. PS, for the goofs that cry about the Viggen not having tracers, learn to aim. That gun is incredible
