Since pl5e joined wt as PLAAF’s first national-product IRCCM ir-missile , adding it to J8F & JH7A’s armaments seems reasonable.Though J8F got 2 powerful pl12s and a juicy radar（type1492），its poor dogfight performance and 4 pl8s（python3）which has known as flare-lover always make it hard to fight with other 13.0 air superiority fighters like su27 ,jas39a ,f15a ,even the F4Fice(in coming 13.0).JH7A’s circumstance is worse than J8F.Both of them have the capability to mount pl5s,why not give them a better choice when they need to fight with high br rivals those equipped with IRCCM missiles.
