IMO its kinda tricky since it slaughters in downtiers but its meager 12 flares goes quickly in an uptier. As almost always, decompression would help here.

You should take into account that the usual Draken you engage will be having a lot less fuel than you, so if one manipulates you into fighting at a more comfortable speed range then you’re in trouble.

Doesn’t matter lmao, any competent player can beat a Draken by playing smart, i had a fight with a Mig 21MF yesterday, i had the energy advantage and caused him to stall out but if i get close ill be slower than he was because he can regain energy faster than i can. We went back and fourth till i was stuck at about 600kph, at that point i had to play more aggressive and dived on to him where i missed my strafe but managed to get my missile on him. It takes any amount of brain power to know how to play better than a Draken because its got one advantage being the first turn, once that turn is done its basically over. You just dont gain speed back fast enough for the average air RB fight, id say its a strong fighter in SIM though.

j35xs at 1.0 lower than F-5E in sim with faster speed and triple the missiles and radar with IFF and IRST is crazy

The Draken airframe is garbage. Believe it or not the F-4C is more maneuverable at supersonic speed.

The R-13 it had was the R-13M not R-13M1. Finland never acquired the latter missiles. Finland also never had the R-60M for the MiG-21 BIS, only the regular R-60. So the MiG-21 BIS loadout is wrong. It should have the R-60 and a corresponding battle rating of 10.7. It would be great to have an unique vehicle instead of copypasta. We did acquire a small number of R-60M missiles in the late 90´s as a Soviet loan payment. No one had asked for these missiles(!), but they were not immediately scrapped either. They arrived after the MiG-21 was retired. The only possible use for them was in the Hawk Mk 51/51A. So we could get a Finnish Hawk with the R-60M. The R-60M missiles were scrapped a few years later after someone wanted to get rid of them and leaked to the press that Finland has depleted uranium ammunition (the warheads in these missiles). It created a small scandal and the missiles were scrapped.

big ask from gaijin

Better option would be to add the Mig 21 MGBT over the bis imo and add that at 10.7, No radar but newer RWR, CM pods, and compatability with AIM 9E

I´ve sat a few times inside the cockpit of one of those as I used to volunteer at a museum where we had one. I remember that some kid once managed to jerk the control stick loose and I had to re-attach it. It would indeed be a great addition. Specifications of the RWR would likely be pretty difficult to get.

The reconnaissance variant is usually referred to as “tiedusteluversio” (reconnaisance version). It´s abbreviated as MiG-21 BIS/T. The MGBT you used probably comes from MG (abbreviation/registration of any MiG-21 in the FAF) B (BIS) T (tiedustelu = reconnaisance).

If it ever comes to War Thunder I think it should be designated as MiG-21 BIS/T or BIS-T. The AIM-9 it would have carried would have been the AIM-9P3 (All P´s up to 3 are the same in WT) since that was the only variant we ever had before the 9M (And the Hornets in WT have 9L which we never had!).

I mean, it’s not horrid, but little to no flares is hard for noobs buying premiums, so they have to make it easy so they buy more.
