They have similar flight models and performance, and their RWRs are equally good, so they can be seen as counterparts to each other if you ignore AAMs.
If you want to focus on the performance of the missile itself, you can take the Kfir C.2 but, if you want to focus on the number of missiles you can take the J-7E.
Also, if you want to see it as 1:1 counterparts, J-7E can gets PL-8s and have same BR with Kfir C.7 which has x4 Python-3.
Largely irrelevant considering the difference in flight performance. even the best missile of the entire bunch, the 7F’s, arent a real threat to any pilot with half a braincell when coming off an F-4J/S, never mind a J-7E. They simply do not have the dogfighting capability to be of any concern in a merge.
If the J-7E pilots diet consists entirely of crayons and lighter fluid, sure, otherwise, no.
Both have always been considered inferior to the J-7E, both of which have been nerfed since as well.
F-15A is already considered to be arguably too low at its BR, and even then the 7E would only face it in a full uptier, not a great argument to try to use here, but if you really wanna be a stickler on that point, I could concede a bump up to 11.7 minimum to start.
You seem to forget that the M2K and J-7E already fought eachother quite extensively back when it was first added. Magic 2’s have been buffed since sure, and its arguably too low at 12.3 as well, as the M2K is more of a competitor to the F-14B at 12.7 than the A at 12.3 following the changes. I expect it to go up during the next round of BR changes.
Yeah, F-5E is about the only thing that is even remotely competitive vs a J-7E in the BR bracket, and 9/10 times “competitive” means “it took me a while to get guns on but he was defensive the entire time” and not “it was a relatively even fight” when it comes to how the J-7E vs F-5E fight plays out…
I really meant Mirage F1C, but you seem to have a very different view of how engagements happen, I think of it as Mig23MLD for example take 2 chances (R24 and then full aspect R60M) before J7E fights back and the chance of getting kills are near equal, since PL5B will happily eat flares up to 10km away. Same happens with F4SII which has up to 10km engagement capability and J7E will have to fly through the first wave of missile or just get killed after 1. PL5B is not really supposed to be used in a dogfight, I do see u have 100+ games in it and so do I but as of RN I think even in the current stupid IRIAF spam I would still rather J8B.
Not really. I have managed to defeat many J-7Es in dogfight with the F-4J and the AIM-7Fs are a clear advantage.
While J-7E may have better Flight performance than other aircrafts of its BR but its still limited by its armaments. Things like F-14A can easily defeat it in dogfight.
4 PL-5Bs aren’t enough for 12.0. 4 PL-5Cs can give it some chance to survive at 11.7 or 12.0 BR.
11.7, 12.0 need python 3, cause when PL12 and AIM120B comes out you will need it. Like even in a say 3km engagement AIM120 will still happily kill you. I won’t mind 4 PL5C and go 11.7 RN especially as it barely ever used PL5B IRL.
Probs not, the things an absolute UFO, but until someone pulls up a source saying otherwise, its unfortunately going to remain as is forever. I honestly highly doubt its ever gonna move up in BR either despite its clear massive overperformance. The fact it didnt go up for the last 2-3 years despite going from top tier being 11.3 to 13.7 and almost everything else moving at/above its BR is a bad joke, but one gaijin seems to love retelling…
I mean we did convince people it was a 11.3 vehicle, until a few clowns jumped out and said it is 12.0 worthy just because it was in the same BR range as F16 before. 11.3 is literally the same especially with F14s moving up, no more Fakour spams.
