TBH, I’m very puzzled by the number of forum users who justify the 11.0BR J-7E more than I imagined.
It is not hard to balance. They just need to learn BFM instead spam AAMs.

It is a mig 21 with rear missiles that has very good maneuverability. The Thai F5E is worse and I don’t see you complaining about it. By the time the East has decent fighters, the only fun thing about the J7 is that you don’t find the F14s that are super unbalanced. You are the first one I see who is complaining about the J7 when it was always lower in br than the Mig 21 bis precisely because of the weapons and the few bullets it has.

It is far better at dogfighting than the regular MiG-21s.
It can outturn against F-5Es in any speeds.

60 rounds will never be a problem as long as you learn to point and click even on sim which is waaaays harder aiming from ARB.
I learned it from playing MiG-15bis or MiG-17 btw

As I have said before the best way to balance the J-7E is to give it PL-5C and move it to 11.3.
PL-8 would increase its BR to 11.7, its better to keep that spot empty for J-7G
You’re insane. The J-7E should be shot up to 12.0 minimum IMMEDIATELY. I dont think the people that are arguing it should be at any 11.X BR are arguing in good faith, or from a position of knowledge.
This plane was beyond busted BEFORE the decompression patch a while back. It has been a match, if not considered superior to(due to better “ergonomics” or general player comfort when flying the plane), the F-14A ever since it was introduced, and the F-14A now sits at 12.3…
Planes that it could fight in a full uptier, and could compete, though would struggle against, like the F-16A’s, and MiG-29, now sit at 12.7-13.0, up to 2.0 BR above this plane. It has absolutely no right being at the BR its at, and continues to be one of the worst jokes gaijin plays on WT air balancing.
12.0 with just 4 rear aspect IR missiles? That’s crazy.

IMO, it should have same BR with Kfir C.7 if J-7E gets PL-8s but, I don’t see any problems because J-7G can gets PL-9s or something else.
Current J-7E is actually overpowered but, it is really questionable it should go 12.0 with current loadouts.
- The F-4E is 11.3, its vastly inferior
- The MiG-21 Bis is 11.3, also vastly inferior
- F-4J/S? 12.0, both vastly inferior
- F-4F is 11.0, it also has only 4 rear aspect missiles, nobody would consider these 2 aircrafts even remotely similar in air to air performance.
- MiG-23MLA/D? 11.7, Vastly inferior.
- Tornado IDS, 2 9L, incomparable FM’s, 11.7
- Phantom FG.1/FGR.2, both vastly inferior to the J-7E, both at 12.0 (with 4x skyflash and 4x 9G)
- Ja37C, 4x 9J + 2x skyflash, much worse FM, 11.3
The J-7E is busted beyond a shadow of a doubt. It clowned on planes that it now only sees in full uptiers and you’re trying to pretend it needs 4x all aspect missiles just to go up to 11.3?
Yeah having higher BR than Kfir C.2/C.7 which is also capable dogfighter and has Python-3?
x4 PL-5B would be 11.3BR maximum.

Chinese model only had single NR-30s with 60 rounds.
Only export model such as F-7PG had x2 30mm cannons with same rounds.
Do we want realism or balance ? If we want realism, and let it like that, it can’t be 11.3 …
Both is needed and, as one player who has been playing J-7E since it came to the game, I don’t see any problems for going to 11.3BR with the current loadout.
60 rounds aren’t main issues for playing if you learned how aim NR-30s.
Also, there are no points for staying at 11.0 because there are no counterparts in 11.0BR, including F-5E.
I mean at 11.3 J35XS and F5ECU would be good counterparts.
J35XS(and Kfir Canard) is just overtiered rn.
I don’t know about F-5E FCU because I have never played it before.
IMO, Kfir C.2 that is also overtiered, would be good counterpart of J-7E.
Ignoring the fact that most of them have a radar and SARH? F4SII/J can easily kill J7E beyond doubt, it has look down shoot down and you will find out if you play the game, same with MLD and JAS 37. I agree 11.3 but 12.0? So F15 vs J7E? So Mig21 Bizon with HMD + R73 + R27 is ‘0.3 BR’ ? Mirage as well, irccm + SARH is only same BR?

Kfir has Python 3, lmao PL5B can’t even fire unless you get into their 6 which who will let you in a fight if they are even aware of you. I think PL5C will balance them at 11.7 but nevertheless, I think F5ECU is literally the same armament as JH7 (AA) with a good RWR and arguably better airframe lol.
