the j7d surely is meta, not broken by all means tho, most planes at this br have flares and the missiles are really not flare resistant, if you die to a j7d its a lack of awareness or skill issue. if you want to argue broken maybe look at the f5c that thing has insane flight performance nearly unlimited gun ammo low IR signature and an competetive amount of flares
2 AIM-9E VS 4 PL-5B or PL-7, plus 1000kmh slower than J-7D, with just 30 flares and without radar, you must be kidding

1000kmh per dont matter on the deck, the j7 relies on missiles while f5 relies on guns, that said the j7 has 6 more cms, and the f5 easily smokes the j7 in almost any fight its not even close
If youre dying to front aspect shots from fox 2s consistently youre terrible. As for fox 1s the only difficult missiles to dodge are R24r
Thats literally the entire playstyle, the difference is thst the j7d is an actual threat. The f104 incredibly easy to dodge

My experience with it was being a sitting duck because I was the only subsonic plane in the entire match 9/10 times. But it was fun sometimes, just not as broken as I always heard people say it is.
The Ayit has good acceleration, good turn performance even at high speed and excellent roll rate for evasive maneuvers, I never found the speed being a problem. Supersonics can run away from you all game if they have flares, but you can quickly deplete tickets by ground pounding in that case.
Once in an A-4H which is worse than the ayit and you only have guns, I had clutch which ended in a 1v1 vs a mig19 which I could do nothing about except making him overshoot over and over again as he didn’t commit to a 1C dogfight (in the 2C the mig19 is king) and I didn’t let my speed bleed much so he had to be fast and compress a lot which made it very easy to nose counter.
I spent half the match ground pounding while nose countering the mig19 on my six, he overshooted a bunch of times initially too. Then he tried to slowly approach each time but the a4 at 1000kph and good defensive manouvering is a very hard target to hit with a mig19.
Every other jet that is faster than you turns quite bad in comparison to the ayit and often doesn’t have countermeasures. Only in a full uptier, the F-8u2 and the drakens might pose a challenge.

Yeah ground pounding was pretty much the norm for me, with the eventual kill if someone attacked me. Maybe it just didn’t fit my gameplay style but I really didn’t find it BROKEN as people say it is. Yeah you’re in real trouble when you’re in full uptier, guess what, almost every match is a full uptier. It KICKS ASS in its tier or downtier tho, but cmon, when does that ever happen 💀. Also had insane clutch moments, one of them prob was the best in my entire time playing this game but still, one moment of glory didn’t make it work out for me personally
Most stuff is in real trouble when fully uptiered due to compression, but not the ayit. Fighting 10.3 with the ayit feels like a slight uptier to me. Having 4+ kills is not uncommon in a full uptier, since there are still many 9.3-10.0s with no countermeasures in the match, and you can hold your own against the best 10.3 for a while
The clutch example I talked about, was to explain how to deal with one of the best FMs you can face with the A-4 which is also much faster than it, now the ayit has decent missiles which can often easily dispatch mig19s under the right launch parameters. The other supersonics aren’t a threat except for a couple 10.3s and even then you’re not a easy target for them if you know your defensive game well
