Soviets should get Tomcat.
True. But just say no to fake tanks.
Its not fake though it was a proper design study that had several mockups (miniature and full scale) and was approved for production and parts of it had started to be made but then armistice :(
It’s German
I’d rather much prefer that Italy gets the unique 44m Tas medium tank
which is essentially a Panther-inspired design by Hungary during WW2 and we have the Hungarian sub-tech tree in Italy so…
Not all of them were. Germany was in the process of transferring a certain amount to Italy. Likely 2 of those were under the usage of Italy however I cannot find any concrete proof if they were but the point still stands. You also would need to consider when Italy broke into a Civil War. Which means you did have some wearing the German Tanker uniforms.
Because France was the largest operator of the Panther outside Germany…
The point doesn’t stand at all unless you can provide some evidence.
The only commentary I’ve ever seen says that Hitler wanted to give Italy a fees-free licence to produce Panthers, and 4 were earmarked to be transferred - but none actually were:
Italian Panther - Tank Encyclopedia - bunch of references at the end of hte article may be of use if people want to follow up.
I feel like if italy is gonna get a panther that will be for one of the subtree nations. And most likely a premium anyway.
Britain needs a Panther!!!
Imagine Brits having something actually useful with APHE instead of Gaijin’s RNG minigame aka solid shot… :)
I think it will eventually get Panther through Hungary/Romania.
i was really hoping for my Australian Bismark
Because italy was a ally of germany, france was a enemy of germany a have panther, its confusing
Not if you know the history.
Should Gaijin do this at all? In a game that has a mode that allows fratricide that pits nations that could have the same vehicles against each other? Where if you want to play a particular vehicle you can just go “freely” grind down to it in that tree?
This unique Hungarian project is certainly better than the probable Soviet copy and paste ones such as the Hungarian T-34 85 and IS2.
I believe that the Italian Panther project envisaged the adoption of the Italian 90mm cannon, replacing the German 75mm, naturally these are conjectures resulting from the chaotic and disastrous moment that the Italian general staff was experiencing.
