I’ll be frank. I don’t agree. Both vehicles are super unique; locking them behind unatauim is bad(we can’t change the past, but I won’t change my opinion).
The Churchill Croc is a good event due to the absence of a playstyle change. The Churchill AVRE is a bad event due to its major playstyle change, making it a really unique vehicle.
Just because a vehicle is “bad” doesn’t mean it should be unavailable to 99% of the player base.

Not a single squadron vehicle for Italy for tanks, helis, planes, bluewater or coastal at the moment.
Even Israel has a squadron vehicle yet they have none.
they really ought to have an R3 and Ariete jet as squadron vehicles as they are two notable highlights of the ground and air trees and flex the great quirks the tree offers.

As far as WT goes it can never be more than a meme vehicle like the petard so maybe if it wasn’t a limited time event but a in game quest that anyone can do that would be neat
If a domestic addition exists and is suitable I find that preferable

China has their own stuff as squadron vehicles. Not Sweden though. Israel does get their own stuff as well. France gets it through subtree

I play Italy more than 99% of players, why would this be some sort of attack on italy?
thats certainly the trend. and the devs are often too arrogant/ full of self pride to look to the community that knows the game in and out for where and what to do with vehicles so we are just gonna keep with the randomness a decade after the request was first “heard”
I too play Italy and I want them to be treated fairly as the other nations are
