I know this won’t get as much traction considering its Israel I’m talking about but I do find it particularly absurd how there has been no mention of Israel getting a new jet to compete the with the multitude of 14.3 to 14.7 jets for other countries.
As it currently stands, Israel is falling behind in several regards compared to every other nation at top tier. It doesn’t have a Rank IX jet, a jet higher than 14.0, or even a top tier AESA jet. With the latest dev streams there is also no indication that Israel will be receiving the AIM-120D on any of their currently available end of the line jets so the disparity just keeps growing larger. Even now a handful of nations are receiving their 2nd top tier AESA fighter before Israel gets their first.
With the previous CMs Greece was stated to be a long term plan and some Singaporean vehicles were stated to be planned for Israel, so EVENTUALLY Israel will get better jets in the form of (possibly) the Greek Rafale and whatever else. This however doesn’t excuse the current situation that it finds itself in. There is always the chance that a new jet gets added later on the dev server similar to how the Gripen E was added later but there hasn’t been any mention or implication that it’s even a possibility. Israel has pretty much always been in the position where new additions are pretty scarce in quantity but it’s reached a point where even the bare minimum doesn’t feel guaranteed.
It’s even gotten to the point where it feels like Gaijin themselves just don’t realize how far back Israel is. In their video wrapping up last year’s additions they had stated the Sufa was an AESA jet which just fundamentally isn’t true. All of it begs the question of what exactly are their plans for the nation as a whole and whether or not they’ll take the time to meet the bare minimum.
Uhm what “technically”? It hasn’t been confirmed, just leaked once, and even if reliable that’s not confirmation. It’s possible sure, but we have nothing official to go off of. Not to mention if they’re doing the case by case basis as they claim, the F-15SG should go to the US as they actually literally operate it for Singapore and the vehicle itself has no directly observed Israeli ties, any you see are speculation,
What Israel should get is the Singaporean F-16D Block 52+, which is connected to Israel. It received the Israel PAWS II ir MAWS that’s found on the Sufa, along with the Python 5 AAM (possibly more I’m unaware of). It fits much more than the SG does, even if it is a worse aircraft overall and would likely be 14.3 in the current matchmaker as opposed to the F-15SG possibly being 14.7 worthy with in Ge129 engines and MAWSs paired with its new radar and likely Aim-120Ds as well.
What I’d prefer to have however, are the Greek aircraft. The Greek Subtree is capable of providing the Israeli tree with HAF F-16C/D Block 52+ Falcons that were upgraded to the F-16C/D Block 72 VIPER standard. And naturally there’s also the more well known HAF Rafale EG/DGs.
Israel should’ve got a new F-15 (either the SG or even a deeply modernized F-15I Ra’am w/APG-82(V)1) alongside the US getting the F-15E RMP or the F-15EX, but its now obvious that Gaijin believes they will be decent counterparts to the Su-35, as it makes zero sense to introduce the new F-16C PoBIT without its ARM loadout.
Well irl i dont believe israel will have the F-15IA which is the EX since they ordered them and wont be there until 2030 at least from what i have researched but could be wrong about that. im really hoping that we get the greek rafale and maybe the F-15SG i think those two additions would make israel much better.i enjoy playing my 13.3 and 13.7 f-16’s but you are so right that top tier lacks so much being the sufa and f-15I we need more and of course 14.7 jets to really compete. just sad to see israel get nothing this update when they truly need more top tier jets.
that is not a tech tree vehicle and only has a BR of 13.0. Other nations have 14.3/14.7 BR aircraft that you don’t have to buy or take part in an event to get it. Now I have the Kfir C.10 and can tell you first hand four derby missiles doesn’t cut it in a full uptier match…playing against planes with up to 12 missiles, it suffers.
