Well that’s because:
A German may die to a T-72 for example, then grind his way to that T-72 andddd presto! He realizes it wasn’t as good as he thought.
It’s like the OF40 for me. I get slayed by it, but never have a good time in it.

The combination of insane armor, survivability and good enough mobility (2A7 will still easily keep up with the Abrams) and good enough firepower (in terms of pen everything 590mm and above doesn’t make a massive difference) is exactly why they are THE meta tanks and why they perform so much better than all other MBTs (including the Abrams).
2A7s/122s can just contest the objectives, easily take them and as soon as an Abrams comes even close to said objectives it either dies in 1 shot or it gets mobility+firepower killed in said 1 shot, if the 2A7/122 driver has as little as 1 braincells.
Hell you could change the word Abrams in the part above for any of the other top tier MBT and the story will likely be exactly the same.

T-tanks never had a survivability of a fully spall-lined Leopard.
Their mobility also worked only in one direction, as reverse speed is dogshit.
So yeah, T-tanks never had as much versatility than current Leopards have.

Secondly no its not over simplified at all, the cap platforms such as the F15E, EF2000 and Rafale, heck even the 15A i use easily can be used as cap.
The pantsir while an irritating spaa (yes its still the best spaa in game) isnt some death zone above the battlefield.
At no stage did i say the su34 was defenseless either, that now is you being disingenuous, the F16C and F15E can, will and do absolutely dog on su34s is what i said ,which they do.
They are multirole fighters, not multirole strike craft (im.blissfully aware the F15E is labelled a strike craft in game but its far out does most designated fighters let alone strike craft such as the su34).
Im literally grinding out top tier china as we speak and have been against russia god knows how many times now, the pantsir again is irritating and incredibly annoying to dodge, but if you use your planes correctly it is incredibly easy to deal with.
Especially if there are more than one plane up.

i got to the CR2 while bvm was “meta” and it died in one shot the same as any russian tank for the most part with the L27A1. the odd time its ammo would go black, same as any ammo rack really.
The 2A7 and spall lined tanks in general can take a far higher amount of punishment.
Just thought id fire that in there.

I love how some people interpreter Pantsir as some 15km bubble death zone that if you go inside you’re automatically dead, 100% of times, especially with more and more brokenly OP UFOs being added.
Most RU air stuff is nothing but a crapbus with sub-par FMs and missiles. Their only advantage lies in A2G ordnance.
BVM could never be the only meta as 122s existed.
They were as meta as Su-27 in the peak of the SARH/27ER “meta” in the day and age of 100m multipath height, which was a hilariously big nothingburger.
Generally speaking, RU being good in some areas is blown out of proportion just because of the nation in question.

Yes those planes will dog on the su34, actually getting into position to take it down for good is another matter especially if the pantir up and that SU34 player isn’t brain dead he will notch, immediately hit the deck force you to get close using MP to avoid your ARAAMS from range and bait you into a worse position. To get taken down by other teammates in Helios, airspawning teammates or those panstirs of all whom are guaranteed to be up.
Besides they already made their match impact most of the time in very beginning of the match. Also most of the time any EF2000 users are gonna be on their team as well (Germany/britian) for some odd reason. You make it sound like a simple matter most of the time. Not to mention AMRAAM cap cost just as much as a full CAS loadout so if you have a bad start your simply boned in every way possible, at least competent pantir players have a chance to make a comeback. ADATS is food most of the time

False, ive got USA, GER, USSR, GB, JPN, and china all top tier , britain is usually paired with USA, and more times germany than not, but that is something wed need a genuine statistic to back up.
But in my 3000 hours britain wasnt with russia often.

Gripen with 4 ARH missiles and 2 x 9Ms adds 54 sp
594 sp in total
Gripen with 4 x mavericks and 2 x aim9m adds 356
In total? 896 for cas.
So no its no where near the same cost
Edit it also costs the su34 pilot s fair old whack of SP id theyd like to spawn it with multirole capacity as well as @Panther2995 i believe showed when talking about heli and cas sp difference.

This was hilarious, people crying their hearts out that the SU27 was OP and it couldnt even pull one turn. Meanwhile the F15A stayed at 12.3 when 12.7 was introduced due to the players bringing its stats down horrifically when in turn it was one of if not the best jets of that update.
Gripen was a UFO to start with but the F15A was better than it almost completely, better missiles, gun, Retention, Acceleration, top speed, etc etc and had a healthy CM count itself

I think even DEFYN said that Gripen was one of the most handheld planes in the history of ARB, but forum experts vehemently claimed Su-27 and ERs are what’s breaking the top tier, totally ignoring you can defeat all SARHs by using a single brain cell and flying relatively low to the ground, forcing dogfights against missile buses.
Gripen was absolutely nasty, it was amazing in brawls and had enough CMs to shit through multiple games at a time, shutting down any R-73 attempts from busses that were stalling after a single turn.
Sadly many people bought into this fear mongering and started spewing out total nonsense about RU being OP because they’re better at (at that time) niche playstyle.
