Is US top tier too weak

Only if you take the mineplaye no? The 2A7HU is 65.1 ton and the 2A7V without the mine plate is 64.1 ton.

I never play my tanks with mine plates, they are a waste and useless dead weight. So I compare all tanks without the mine plates added.

Eh the 50 cal doesn’t really add that much at 11.7 imo. Usually the Kamovs stay out effective 50 cal range anyway when rocketing, so if they want you dead the 50 cal won’t change that.

Ah, thought I’d taken the mineplate off before looking at the weight. Well, my apologies.

You get DM11 you dont need the .50 for helis

If you’ve failed to 1hit you’ve probably either killed the driver and engine and he cant move or you’ve shot the gun out and you can push up having the .50 is barely noticeable id rather just have a smaller silhouette while weighing less

And if you get screwed over by the vertical elevation limitation of the main gun (aka the helis practically on top of you) at least you’ve got the .50 as the backup.

I’ve never found the timed fuses too useful against flying targets since they’re constantly moving, wish it was a proxy fuse instead.

Yes it does a lot more

It really doesn’t considering the roof liner makes you immune to HE unless someone hits the hatches

Yes it makes it a lot more vulnerable to 125mm HE shells.

Yeah extra armor sure does make it more vulnerable… If you wanna take such a stance at least make a showcase. I just happened to have fought a swedish leopard in a hulldown situation recently. 125mm HE didn’t so shit to it, it either bounced or got sponged. The extra armor is good for dealing with vikhrs on occasions

Why is the M1A2 above the SEP? SEP gets better thermals.

Better thermals doesn’t really matter for a lot of people tbh. For me it does (the jump from 1st to 2nd is huge, whereas the jump from 2nd to 3rd is minimal) but for them, the weight gained is just an overall net negative.

I mean, it’s a 200 kg difference between M1A2 and M1A2 SEP… it has zero impact on mobility!

On the other hand, 2nd Gen thermals are sharp, crisp and clear while 1st Gen are a 144p blurry pixelated mess.

I even prefer M1A1 AIM over M1A2 because of the thermal quality alone; even if it a has worse shell and no CITV.

For a while the best top tier MBT for the US ground tree was a squadron vehicle. Man that was sad.

Waiter! WAiter! Another Abrams post, plz!!!

Tank wise? Yeah. No amount of Abrams are going to save you when the vehicle’s UFP helps make it’s turret ring weakspot even larger. You can sneak literal APHE through there with how large it is. You could add an Abrams with invulnerable turret cheeks and it really wouldn’t matter. This is an issue of gaijin modeling.

ironically, some of the best ones are the M1 Abrams 105 and the IPM1, just due to mobility.

Lul, no.

The problem isn’t the Abrams, infact its the second best tank in game being the flurry of leo 2s. The problem is the players.

specifically the players with 1 tank and no line up Xd america has a good top tier line up minus spaa (for now) but if players had good line ups they could probably win more coming from a US main myself.

if clickbait were removed tommorow I’d honestly expect US wr to increase by like 20% at least

You can blame partially the players but the tank armor wise is legitimately bad. Even the earliest APFSDS can penetrate easily the turret ring and one-shot the tank. At least the hull of the Leopard 2 improves over time, but the Abrams is easily decimated center of mass by almost any dart slingers

The same is true for soviet (the LFP might aswell be centre mass on them since everyone knows to shoot there), british, chinese and israeli MBTs the difference is the abrams has mobility and arguably the best gun at toptier but also the abrams has far better survivability than any of them and can survive shots centre mass decently often
