I hate it when people claim that “it’s the second worst MBT” as much as when people claim that “it’s the second best MBT”.
It’s just… an absolutely, average middle ground. It’s not great, nor is it terrible. It has strengths, and it has weaknesses…
The balance issue comes when there are many tanks already (Leopard 2A7HU, Leopard 2A7V, Strv 122B+, Strv 122B PLSS, Strv 122A…) that have as many strengths and even more… without any weaknesses at all; and when other tanks have way more strengths than weaknesses.
And regardless of balance, the truth remains that many objective issues the Abrams tanks have are caused by artificial nerfs and mismodelling that, as in every other tank, need to be addressed, no matter whether it would have a small or a big impact on its performance.
I remember being told off by some US mains for posting memes before because the war thunder forum is serious business so I’m going to have to ask you to refrain from posting such material and devaluing the intrinsic value of this thread.
Any attempt at giving any potential value to this thread is taken away every time someone comes in screaming “skill issue” and pretending like there’s no issues to address regarding the Abrams because “if it’s not OP it’s because of noobs in Click-Baits and U.S mains being bad”.
These threads are made with genuine intent to achieve needed improvements by having legitimate concerns and issues addressed and they always, ALWAYS end up being spammed by the same few users who want to keep the U.S down.
Only you and Stray believe the Abrams are “Second worst mbt” meanwhile literally everyone else has an understanding that the Abrams are a good average MBT.
It’s just an easy way to categorically deligitimaze perfectly valid concerns; ignore these, pretend like everyone here unreasonabily believe that “it’s the second worst MBT” just because 1 or 2 users said it, and move on. Almost a strawman, if not because someone actually said it, somehow. But still a strawman to use 1 or 2 users’ words to delegitimaze an entire playerbase and a whole family of vehicle’s real issues.
Someone said Ariete has the best armour in the game; therefore, now we should go around and tell all Ariete players that Ariete has no legitimate issues and that it does not need any kind of fixes, corrections or re-balancing.
Didnt know that multiple people disagreeing with Stray’s left field “Second Worst MBT” take meant that everyone on this thread unilateral agree with it.
