For original M1 though these speeds may be more attainable in game so it could actually help it quite a bit to offset its mediocre pen
I mean the thing goes 72kmph in game as is and is the fastest 10.7 mbt.
The pen of the round while is low isnt much worse than say the 2a4s 237mm at 60 degrees.
Combined with the 5 second reload and mobility is more than sufficient.

Turret armor wise the Abrams is not straight up superior I would say. You can still frontally ammo rack the Abrams hull down if you hit certain spots.
